Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 456

Grace slowly straightened her back. Though her face was still a bit pale, her eyes no longer darted away.

The two of them walked into the main exhibition hall.

On the stage, a massive backdrop displayed the theme of the art show: "Mirror's Abyss."

Lottie Grant strode onto the stage, took off her sunglasses, and casually hung them on her collar.

She didn't sit down. Instead, she picked up the microphone and scanned the audience.

The force of her presence cut through the chaos, silencing the room in an instant.

"I know why you're all here today."

Lottie Grant began, her voice cool and tinged with mockery. "Not to see the art, but to see the drama, right?"

The reporters below exchanged glances, some embarrassed, others excited.

"Since you're all so concerned with my family affairs, I'll clear things up once and for all."

Lottie Grant pointed to the enormous oil painting behind her, "Mirror's Abyss."

The painting’s subject—a back crisscrossed with old scars—blazed with brutal clarity under the spotlight.

"About that so-called 'recording.'"

As Lottie Grant said this, the smile vanished from her face.

"You shouldn't be asking me that question. You should go ask the paralyzed Sabrina."

"Twenty-eight years ago, my mother, Lauren Hawke, was pregnant with twins. Her doctor friend told her that the Hart family valued sons over daughters, and that their house was a den of lies and cruelty."

"To save at least one of her children, my mother had no choice but to send me away."

The entire hall erupted in gasps and shocked murmurs.

This version of the story was the polar opposite of the vicious lies that had been spread about us.
