Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 477

"Ivy!" Grace looked at her in disbelief. "Is that what you really think of us?"

"Then what about Lucian Chow?" Ivy shot back. "He's so good, so gentle. I don't believe he's a bad person! Everyone has a past. Even if he made a mistake before, doesn't he deserve a second chance?"

"That wasn't a mistake, it was a crime!"

Grace was so distraught that tears were about to fall. "And he's connected to Serena! He's approaching you with an ulterior motive!"

"Enough!"

Ivy took a deep breath, her gaze turning icy. "Grace, I know you've been hurt. You were tricked by Ethan, sold out by your family. Now you see everyone as a bad guy."

"But you can't block my path to happiness just because you've been hurt, can you?"

Grace's face went pale. She swayed, nearly losing her balance.

"What did you say?"

Ivy regretted her words the moment they left her mouth.

She looked at Grace's ashen face, opened her mouth to apologize, but couldn't bring herself to say the words.

"Anyway… we're getting married."

Ivy turned her head away, speaking stiffly. "I've already picked out a house, right near the company. If you want to wish me well, you're welcome. But if you're going to keep saying this nonsense, then we have nothing more to talk about."

With that, she picked up the roses from the ground and ran into the building.

Grace couldn't quite process what she was feeling.

She and Ivy had been friends for ten years.

During her most difficult times, it was Ivy who had stood by her, believed in her, and supported her.

But now, a man had effortlessly shattered their bond.

Damien got out of the car, walked over, and draped his coat over her shoulders. "Let's go home," he urged.

Grace leaned into his embrace, her eyes red.

"Damien, am I really that unlikable?"

The picture showed two keys overlapping, along with a man's hand.

Grace looked at the post and found it incredibly jarring.

After much hesitation, she couldn't resist sending Ivy a message.

[Whose name is on the deed?]

After a long while, Ivy replied: [Mine.]

Grace breathed a sigh of relief. Just as she was about to type a response, Ivy's second message came through:

[But I added his name. We'll be family soon anyway, so why draw such clear lines?]

Grace felt a surge of anger shoot through her.

She immediately dialed Ivy's number.

"Ivy, are you out of your mind?!" Grace shouted as soon as the call connected. "You added his name before you're even married? How much was the down payment? That was a six-figure down payment, Ivy! It wasn’t pocket change!"
