Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 476

In the end, Grace didn't get to go shopping with Ivy.

She said she was going to spend some quality time with her man.

When Grace returned home, she found Damien sitting in the living room, waiting for her with a grim expression.

"What's wrong?" Grace asked.

It had been a long time since Damien had worn such a look.

"See for yourself."

Damien leaned back on the sofa, clearly unhappy.

Grace picked up the file from the table.

Lucian Chow, original name Jack Chow.

Three years ago, he was sentenced to two years in prison for burglary and had just been released six months ago.

What was interesting was that he hadn't held any legitimate jobs since his release, yet a month ago, he had suddenly rented a storefront with an annual rent of over two hundred thousand dollars and opened that lavishly decorated coffee shop.

The source of his funds was a mystery.

In a photo attached to the last page of the file, Lucian Chow was meeting with a woman.

Although it was just a view of her back, Grace recognized the white coat immediately.

Grace felt a chill run down her spine.

"It's Serena..."

Damien nodded, then comforted her.

"Don't be afraid. I'm here."

"How can I not be afraid?" Grace turned around, her eyes red-rimmed. "If Serena has a problem, she should come after me! Why go after Ivy? Ivy doesn't know anything!"

She knew all too well what it was like to be manipulated.

If Ivy went through the same thing…

Grace couldn't bear to think about it.

"I'm going to find Ivy right now."

Grace pushed past Damien, about to head out.

"Grace!" Damien stopped her. "It's too late. Besides, if you go and tell her now, she might not believe you."

Ivy froze, the smile instantly vanishing from her face.

"Grace, what are you doing?"

"Break up with him." Grace grabbed her shoulders and shook her. "Break up with that Lucian Chow right now!"

"Are you insane?"

Ivy shrugged off her hands, annoyed. "What are you doing, showing up in the middle of the night and acting crazy? What's wrong with me being in a relationship? What does it have to do with you?"

"He's a liar!"

Grace pulled the investigation report from her bag and handed it to Ivy. "See for yourself! He's been to prison! He's here to scam you!"

The papers scattered on the ground. In the dim yellow light of the streetlamp, Ivy saw the photos on them.

Ivy stood frozen, unable to process what was happening.

But it only lasted for three seconds. She then crouched down, picked up the papers one by one, and tore them to shreds.

"I don't believe you!"

Ivy shouted, her eyes welling up. "This is your so-called evidence? Damien is powerful and influential. It would be easy for him to fake something like this!"
