Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 537

"Sorry, sorry! I'll be gentler!"

Elliot wasn't annoyed in the slightest, immediately lightening his touch.

Leaning against the kitchen doorway with a glass of water, Grace watched the scene unfold quietly.

It was so nice.

Her best friend finally had someone who truly cared for her.

"Grace, what are you just standing there for?"

The soothing pressure eased the pain enough for Ivy to finally acknowledge her friend. "You didn't even help me earlier. You just watched this idiot bully me."

"You looked like you were enjoying it to me."

Grace walked over and sat down next to Gianna. "He brought you flowers and he's tending to your wounds. If I didn't know how to read the room, how could I be an executive?"

Ivy blushed, her gaze darting away.

"Who... who's enjoying it? I just felt bad for him since he looked so sincere."

"Right, right, Miss Dawson is just too kind-hearted."

Grace laughed and shook her head, her gaze shifting to Elliot. "Mr. Ashcombe, now that you're done playing doctor, shouldn't we get down to business?"

Elliot checked Ivy's arm to make sure the bruise had been properly treated before reluctantly standing up.

He pulled a tissue from the box and wiped his hands.

"Grace, I was actually planning to come find you this afternoon."

Elliot pulled a file from his briefcase and handed it over.

"Yesterday, Damien asked me to look into Julian Leung's overseas companies. Here is the report. Also... I dug up some intelligence on 'Mr. K' from the internal database."

At the mention of Mr. K, Grace's expression turned serious.

She took the folder and flipped it open.

It was filled with English and Sorentian text, packed with dense data and complex relationship charts.

"Graceline Technologies shouldn't face any more obstacles in Europe," Elliot said. "That Dr. Serrano... he's incredibly resourceful. Damien mentioned they already sent representatives to negotiate a settlement today."
