"Ethan Ward."
Just saying his name made a sickening wave of nausea roll through her stomach.
Other than Serena and Julian, he was the only person she could think of with a vicious enough vendetta.
Damien was on the phone ordering his men to double their search efforts. At the mention of Ethan's name, his gaze turned dangerously cold.
"Ethan?" Ivy frowned. "But hasn't he been keeping a low profile for the last few months?"
She thought back to Ethan's disastrous track record over the past two years.
Ever since the Hart and Ward families had fallen from grace, Ethan had repeatedly tried to mess with Grace—only to be utterly destroyed by Damien and left with nothing.
His parents had moved back to their hometown after Lilian went to prison, leaving a bitter Ethan behind in Jarrow City, desperate for a comeback.
Eventually, he had used the money Serena gave him to start Haven Decor Company.
"I actually heard people talking about him when I was at the hardware district the other day." Ivy glanced at Grace, and seeing no extreme reaction, she cautiously continued. "I heard he opened a renovation company. It's small, but business is supposedly pretty good."
"I even ran into him on the street a few days ago. He was driving a BMW and looked like he was on top of the world."
"On top of the world?" Grace scoffed. "Good for him."
"You think he's the one who took Gianna?" Ivy bit her lower lip, confused. "He seems to be doing fine right now. Why would he kidnap her?"
What Ivy didn't say was that after being crushed by Damien so many times, if Ethan hadn't learned his lesson, the guy was a total lunatic with a death wish.
Grace's eyes burned with fury. "When Serena came after me, Ethan reached out too."
Ivy was about to make a sarcastic remark when Elliot walked over with a few officers.
"Grace," Elliot said, his expression grave. "We've searched the entire estate inside and out. There's no sign of a struggle, and nobody saw anyone suspicious. Aside from the footprints and tire tracks in the garden, the perpetrator left zero evidence."
