Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 75

The moment Grace's figure vanished through the doorway, the sound of Sabrina smashing things echoed through the living room.

"This is outrageous! Absolutely outrageous! That little bitch!"

Lucian kicked over a nearby chair, his face contorted with rage.

"Dad! Are we just going to let her walk out of here?!"

Mr. Hart's face was dark as he remained silent.

A flash of malice and panic crossed Lilian's eyes.

She knew that this time, Grace was really gone for good.

She couldn't let Grace make a comeback just like that!

She quietly slipped to the side, took out her phone, and quickly dialed a number she knew by heart.

The call connected almost instantly.

A deep, cold male voice came from the other end.

"Hello."

Lilian's tears immediately started to fall, her voice filled with a choked, aggrieved tone.

"Ethan…"

The person on the other end of the line was, of course, Ethan.

Hearing her cry, Ethan's tone softened immediately.

"Lilian? What's wrong? Who upset you?"

"No… nobody…" Lilian sobbed, speaking in broken sentences.

"It's Grace… she came back…"

Ethan's brow furrowed in annoyance.

"Grace? What's she stirring up now?"

In his mind, Grace was nothing more than a crazy woman who would do anything to get his attention.

"Grace… she seems to have misunderstood something, and she's insisting on… on cutting ties with the family…"

Lilian's voice sounded both innocent and self-reproachful.

"It's all my fault… I couldn't convince her otherwise… Now Dad and my brothers are all blaming me…"

"Ethan, what should I do? Grace must be doing this on purpose, running away to make everyone worry… She's always done things like this, hasn't she?"

Grace Hart.

From that moment on, she was just herself.

She leaned against the car window, watching the streetscape blur past, as a single tear slowly rolled down her cheek.

As she was lost in thought, her phone suddenly vibrated.

It was a text from an unknown number.

Grace opened it.

[This is Ethan. Apologize to Lilian immediately. And stop playing these disgusting games.]

Such an entitled tone.

In the past, a message like this would have shattered her heart.

But now, she felt nothing at all.

In fact, she almost wanted to laugh.

She stared at the text message, her slender fingers slowly tapping out a reply on the screen.
