Cassian told Maya everything, the reason he was looking for information about the elves and that Abril possessed light magic. She was stunned by what he was saying and just stared at him, speechless.
“Aren’t you going to say anything?”
“Take me with you.”
“What?”
“I want to meet the possessor of the light magic.”
“You can’t.”
“Why not?”
“Because my brother will be angry if he finds out I told you about her.”
“Then don’t tell him.”
“And what do you want me to say when he sees me arrive with you?”
“Make up anything, for example, you could say I’m your girlfriend, that way he won’t be suspicious of me coming with you.”
“No! I would never say something like that.”
“Hey! I’m not that bad–looking.”
“It’s not that.”
“Then why can’t you say that?”
“Because for starters, we are not lovers, and I wouldn’t lie to my brother, and it would be dishonorable for you if I said you were my lover.”
“It’s true, I forgot that for nobles, a woman’s chastity is very important, but let me tell you something, for commoners, we don’t care about that, and about us not being lovers, we can easily fix that.”
Maya stood up from where she was sitting, approached Cassian, placed her hand on his chest, feeling his toned muscles under her fingers, and said.
“We can be real lovers, even if only for a while. I’m a free spirit, I don’t like being tied down.”

Cassian swallowed hard. He had never had a girlfriend or fiancée, and Maya’s offer to be his lover made him very nervous, and he didn’t know what to say. Maya started laughing seeing him so nervous.
“It was a joke, right?”
“No, I’m serious about us being lovers.”
“Then why were you laughing?”
“You’ve never been with a woman, have you?”
Cassian didn’t respond, he just avoided her gaze. Maya got even closer to him, wanting to tease him a bit. She caressed Cassian’s lips with her fingers while looking at him straight in the eyes and said.
“If you have no experience, I wouldn’t mind teaching you, I’m a good teacher.”
“You shouldn’t say things like that.”
“Why not? Don’t you want me to teach you?”
“It’s not that, but it’s not right.”
“You’re funny, who decides what’s right and wrong anyway? The nobles and their customs, silly customs, they complicate life for nothing.”
“That’s not true.”
“Of course it is, but it doesn’t matter, you’ll take me with you whether you want to or not, and the excuse you make up for your brother doesn’t matter to me.”
“Now I regret telling you everything.”
Maya smiled and said.
“I’ll go pack my bags and be right back.”
Maya approached the door and before leaving, she said.
“Don’t even think about leaving me behind, because I’ll find you, and you won’t like what happens, so you’d better wait for me, little prince.”
Maya returned to the information guild, where she found her brother talking to Ethan. She sneaked closer to listen to their conversation.
“I’ve looked everywhere for her, but I haven’t been able to find her.‘

“Maybe it was someone who looked like her because she seems to have disappeared.”
Ethan stood up angrily and said.
“She couldn’t have disappeared, she must be close by and I’m going to find her.”
“I apologize for not being able to fulfill your request.”
After Ethan left, Maya approached her brother and asked him.
“Who is that guy looking for?”
“That’s none of your business.”
“Barto, I’m your sister, you know you can trust me.”
“I know, but you know there are things I can’t reveal.”
“I’m just curious, you know I love everything related to elves.”
“Sometimes your curiosity is too much, I’m afraid you’ll end up getting into trouble.”
Maya shrugged and said.
“Well, you know how I am, so tell me what that man is so desperately looking for, or I might just go ask him myself.”
Barto knew his sister’s words were true, that she was very capable of going to find that elf and asking what he was looking for just to satisfy her curiosity, he patted her on the head
and said.
“Come on, let’s talk in my office.”
Maya followed her brother to the office, and after crossing the door she asked.
“So, are you going to tell me what that elf has been searching for all this time?”
“Another elf, a princess to be exact, apparently she escaped from the Elven kingdom a few years ago.”
“Is that elf searching for a runaway princess?”
“That’s right.”
“What else do you know about that Elven princess?”

“Nothing else. He said he saw her a few days ago, but I haven’t been able to find anything about her. It’s as if she doesn’t exist.”
“Do you think the princess is still alive?”
“I don’t know, but if she is, she’s done a great job of hiding her tracks.”
