Think Only of Me
When Enzo turned around, he saw that Cira was being swallowed by the darkness. He tried to hold her to prevent the darkness from taking her, but in the end, he couldn’t. The darkness covered her completely.
When the darkness engulfed her entirely, Cira felt fear, pure terror. In the darkness, she screamed and kicked, but it was all useless; it was as if her body didn’t belong to her anymore. She had lost all control of her body and wondered if that meant she was already dead. Then she heard a deep, icy voice speaking directly to her mind.
“Cira, let me in.”
Cira tried to see who was speaking to her, but she couldn’t move and could only see darkness.
“Who are you? Show yourself.”
“I can’t show myself, I don’t have a physical body. I need you to let me inside you.”
“Let you inside?”
“Yes, let me inside you. I need a physical body, and in return, I will give you power.”
“And if I refuse?”
“If you refuse, you will remain weak and never become queen. You will always be in the shadow of your father and brother.”
Something Cira had always hated was the fact that her father never considered her his heir. She was the youngest and therefore not considered the heir princess. There was always someone ahead of her, first Abril, and when she got rid of her, Enzo took her place. She was never considered by her father to be his heir, no matter how hard she tried.
“Before I give my answer, tell me who or what you are?”
“I am one of the underworld princesses, strong and powerful. If you let me in, you will become just as strong and powerful.”
“And what will happen to me when I let you in?”
“You will be powerful.”
“That sounds tempting, but what is the price I must pay?”
“It is a small price compared to what I will give you. You will just let me stay inside you and

take care of a few things; you won’t even notice I’m there.”
Cira thought about it for a moment. She wanted to be strong, so she accepted the proposal.
“Alright, I will let you in.”
“Good answer. I assure you that no one will be able to stand against you. You will gain everything you’ve ever desired.”
“And now what do I do?”
“Just stop fighting, let the darkness invade you completely.”
Cira did what that voice told her. She stopped fighting against the darkness, allowing it to enter into her, consuming her completely. She became one with the darkness and could feel power and strength flooding every part of her body.
Enzo remained at the top of the stairs, afraid of being swallowed by the darkness. He stood staring into the darkness. He had never loved his sister. In fact, he hated her. She was a nuisance and wanted to kill him, and the feeling was mutual, but seeing that she had died gave him no satisfaction.
The darkness began to fade, and a red flame appeared where Cira had been swallowed by the darkness. It was a peculiar fire, as if the darkness and flames were merging. Enzo used his fire to light up the area and see what was happening. At that moment, his fire clearly illuminated his sister in the midst of that strange fire.
“Cira, are you alright?”
Cira stretched her arms and head slightly, as if adjusting herself. She responded with a strange voice, as if her voice was overlapping with another.
“I’ve never been better.”
Enzo felt an eerie chill. Although she looked the same as his sister, something told him she was no longer her. He stepped back and tripped over the last step of the staircase.
“You’re not my sister, who are you?”
Cira laughed and replied.
“I am the same. No.”
She corrected herself.
“Now I am better.”

Cassian woke up startled, not feeling Maya in his arms. He didn’t know when he had drifted off. He looked around and saw her on the balcony, gazing into the distance. Cassian got out of bed, approached her, and asked.
“Did you get any sleep?”
“Yes, I slept a little.”
“Have you been awake long?”
“No, I just woke up.”
“What are you looking at?”
“Everything and nothing really. I’m still overwhelmed. This place is incredible.”
Cassian was about to speak when he heard a knock on the door. Two fairies entered, one with green skin and the other pink, carrying colorful linen garments in their arms. They placed them on the bed, and one of them said,
“The queen will grant you an audience. Please take a bath and change your clothes before seeing her.”
The green–skinned fairy opened a door in the room, revealing a large stone bathtub. The water was milky white and seemed to glow. One of them took Maya’s hand and led her inside, starting to undress her without saying a word.
“Hey! What do you think you’re doing?” Exclaimed Maya.
“I’m helping you take a bath.”
“I can do it myself, so leave.”
The other fairy glanced at Cassian, seemingly intending to do the same to him, so before she said anything, he said.
“I can bathe myself too, so you can leave.”
“But we have orders to help you.”
“We don’t need it.”
“All right, we’ll be outside. Let us know when you’re done with the bath, and we’ll take you to the queen.”

“What about our friends? Are they going too?”
“Yes, they are being looked after right now.”
After the two fairies left, Cassian paused at the door, watching Maya for a moment. She had already taken off all her clothes and was getting into the bathtub. She said to him,
“Are you going to stand there watching me, or will you come in?”
Cassian entered and asked,
“Mind if I join you?”
“Of course, get in here, unless you want that fairy girl to help you with your bath.”
Cassian took off his clothes, immediately got into the bathtub, and responded while wrapping his arms around her,
“I definitely prefer you.”
“You think? Not sure?”
Cassian laughed and replied,
“Maybe not much. You’ve been ignoring me a lot lately.”
“That’s not true, I was just a bit busy, like I said.”
Maya wanted to change the subject and said to him,
“This water is strange, isn’t it?”
Cassian had been lost watching Maya, so he didn’t realize it until she mentioned it.
“You’re right, it’s strange, although I think everything here is strange.”
“I agree with you, everything here is strange, but beautiful at the same time.”
“Although you are more so.”
“Beautiful or strange?”
“Both.”
Maya wrapped her arms around his neck, gave him a kiss, and said,
“You’re not far behind either.”
He brushed Maya’s hair off her shoulders and said,

“I think we should hurry, we shouldn’t keep the queen waiting.”
Maya knew this perfectly well, but she wanted to enjoy that moment with Cassian because
she didn’t know if it would be the last. She kissed him passionately and said,
“Just this once.”
“But the queen?”
“Forget about her for a moment, I’m naked in front of you, don’t you want me?”
“Of course I do, you already know that.”
“Then, think only of me for a moment, focus on me.”
Cassian knew he should think about his mission, but that request seemed like a plea. He had no will to refuse, so he returned the kiss and agreed to her request.
