Chapter 315: Exposed
Chapter 315: Exposed
(Jade’s POV)
My fingers tightened around the cold metal of the microphone. The private booth was bathed in shifting neon lights, the air thick with the scent of expensive alcohol and cigars. I was in the middle of a verse, losing myself in the rhythm, when I heard it.
Amelia.
The name cut through the music like a knife. I stopped singing immediately. The backing track continued, a hollow beat filling the sudden silence. I lifted my eyes, casting a glance at Lucas Lloyd, who had just
burst into the room.
Griffin sat in the center of the velvet sofa. He lowered his crystal whiskey glass, his expression darkening.
“Why did you stop?” Griffin asked, his voice flat and dangerous.
I opened my mouth to speak, but a sneering voice cut me off.
“Don’t be a buzzkill, Jade,” Hugh said. He sat beside Griffin, swirling his drink. “You shouldn’t ruin Griffin’s
mood.”
Hugh looked at me with open contempt.
“You are just a peace offering from Alpha Arthur,” he mocked, his tone dripping with malice. “Your only job is to please Griffin. Know your place.”
The words struck deep, like poison darts. I felt the humiliation burn in my chest, hot and suffocating. I was a tool for my father’s ambition, a gift to appease the powerful Drake family.
But I swallowed the anger. I forced my face into a mask of submissive indifference.
I placed the microphone gently on the marble table.
“I’m thirsty,” I said softly, my voice steady. “And since Lucas has important business, I won’t interrupt your
talk.”
I moved to the side, pouring myself a glass of water, my ears straining to catch every word.
The atmosphere in the booth grew heavy. Lucas turned to Griffin, his face pale and slick with sweat.
“Griffin, I’m sorry,” Lucas stammered. “But I had to come. The deadline for the bet with Amelia is
approaching.”
He paced nervously, running a hand through his hair.
“She just provoked me in ‘The Inner Circle‘ group chat,” Lucas said, his voice trembling with anxiety. “She is acting like she has already won.”

Hugh let out a harsh, barking laugh. He leaned forward, eager to play the role of the loyal lapdog.
“Relax, Lucas,” Hugh scoffed. “That delusional bitch is going to crash and burn.”
Lucas stopped pacing. He looked at Hugh with desperate hope. “Do you really think so?”

“It is obvious,” Hugh said, ticking points off on his fingers. “First, we have Caleb Stone. He is a superstar
with millions of fans.”
Hugh grinned, showing his teeth.
“With the Drake family resources pushing him, his new song will crush her. Amelia stands no chance.”
He gestured dismissively.
“And look at her team,” Hugh sneered. “She hired Wayne. He is a washed–up actor who hasn’t had a hit in years. And Jasper Calder?”
Hugh spat on the floor.
“He is a mongrel raised by Rogues. The werewolf society will never accept him. She is doomed.”
I walked back to the sofa and sat close to Griffin. I rested my hand on his arm, feigning a casual curiosity.
“Griffin,” I purred, looking up at him. “Do you really have a way to make sure she is ruined for good?”
Griffin glanced at me sideways. A cruel, predatory smile curled his lips.
“Her birthday banquet is coming up,” he said, his voice low. “There will be a show.”
He took a slow sip of his whiskey.
“If she can’t handle it, Starlight goes bankrupt. And her reputation as an Alpha’s daughter will be in tatters.”
My heart skipped a beat. A public humiliation at her own birthday?
“But the Stone Pack House is a fortress,” I said, trying to sound impressed rather than worried. “How can
you interfere there?”
Griffin scoffed, “I don’t need to get my hands dirty personally.”
Lucas let out a long breath of relief. A smile returned to his face.
“So I won’t have to wear the collar,” Lucas muttered. “Thank the Moon. I thought I was done for.”
(Author’s POV)
Just then, a phone buzzed loudly on the table. It belonged to Griffin’s assistant.
The screen lit up with a name: *Adrian Stone*.
Jade’s ears twitched. She recognized the name instantly. Amelia’s biological father. The man who had been exiled from power.
Griffin nodded at his assistant. “Answer it. Speaker.”

The assistant tapped the screen.
“Mr. Drake!” Adrian’s voice crackled through the speaker, frantic and breathless.
“I can’t get an invitation,” Adrian pleaded. “Jaxon has locked down the guest list. I can’t get into the banquet.”
“You have to help me,” Adrian continued, his voice rising in panic. “I need to be there.”
Griffin’s eyes narrowed. A cold calculation flashed in their golden depths.
“Calm down, Adrian,” Griffin said smoothly.
“I will get you in,” Griffin promised. “I will lend you Lyra Drake.”
Jade froze. Lyra was Amelia’s aunt, a daughter of the Drake family.
“She will take you in as her guest,” Griffin ordered. “Use that opportunity. Make it count.”
“Thank you! I won’t let you down!” Adrian babbled before the call ended.

Jade stared at the table, her mind racing. The “show” was Adrian. Griffin was using the desperate former Alpha to cause chaos from the inside. She clenched her fist in the folds of her dress. She had to warn
Amelia.
Suddenly, a shout came from the corner of the room.
One of Lucas’s lackeys was staring at his phone, his eyes wide with shock.
“Lucas! Check social media! Right now!”
Lucas frowned. He fumbled for his phone and unlocked it.
He opened the trending page. His jaw dropped.
**Trending #1: #PuppyLucas**
He clicked on the tag.
His blood ran cold.
Amelia had posted screenshots. She had exposed the chat logs from “The Inner Circle.”
Every brutal detail of the bet was there for the world to see.
*The loser wears a collar,*
*Paraded like a prize pet.*
*Licks the winner’s shoes in public.*
The werewolf internet had exploded. The comments section was moving so fast it was a blur.
“Is this real? The elite are insane,” one user wrote.

“Lucas Lloyd? The heir to the Lloyd Pack? No way,” another commented.
People were analyzing the bet. Some argued Lucas would win because of the Drake family backing. But
the sentiment was shifting.
Many low–level wolves were cheering. They admired Amelia’s courage to stand up to the bullies.
Lucas stared at the screen, his face draining of all color.
He had thought this was a private game among the rich. He never expected Amelia to take the gloves off
like this.
He scrolled down to the comments with trembling fingers.
There were Caleb fans insulting Amelia, hoping she would eat her words. But the mockery directed at him
was overwhelming.
*“Can’t wait to see the Lloyd heir on a leash. #Karma“*
Lucas felt a wave of nausea.
*“She actually posted the receipts! Savage.“*
A cold dread settled in his stomach. This was a scorched earth tactic. Amelia was crazy.
He looked up at Griffin, who was still smirking, unaware of the storm brewing online.
For the first time, doubt crept into Lucas’s mind.
Lucas felt an inexplicable chill, and Amelia’s madness made him begin to suspect whether Griffin’s plan
was truly foolproof.
