When the sun had completely set, Cassian said to her, “I think it would be better if we head back. If Alessandro gets to the dining room before us, he’ll start wondering where you are.”
“Can I come here whenever I need to think or feel a bit lonely?”
“Of course, you can come whenever you wish.”
Abril and Cassian were heading to the palace when one of the servants hurriedly approached.
“Prince Cassian.”
“What’s the matter? Why do you look so agitated?”
“You told me to inform you when Miss Maya returns.”
“Is she here?”
“Yes, she just arrived a moment ago.”
“Is she alright?”
“Yes, she seemed fine.”
Cassian felt relieved to know that Maya had been fine; he had been very worried since she had taken longer than she had said. Abril placed her hand on his shoulder and said, “See, you had nothing to worry
about, she’s fine.”
“Yes, you were right.”
“You must be eager to see her.”
“That’s not the case.”
“It seems like it is, so why not go see her?”
“I’ll accompany you to the dining room.”
“You don’t have to, I know the way.”
“Accompany her,” Cassian ordered the servant, then said goodbye to Abril and went to find Maya. She was
in her room, and he entered without knocking and found her undressed.
Cassian stared at her, and she covered herself with a robe and said, “You should knock before entering.
though I don’t mind you seeing me like this.”
“You took a long time, you said you’d be back in three days.”
Maya took a few steps forward, closing the distance between them, and said, “Did you miss me that badly?”
“I was worried, I thought something had happened to you.”

handful of strands and kissed them.
“Your hair is beautiful.”
“Just my hair?”
“No, everything about you is beautiful.”
“Is that so?”
“Yes.”

Cassian fell silent as she stood on tiptoe and stole a kiss from him. He gazed at her for a moment before
leaning in and capturing her lips, which felt sweeter than honey to him.
After several kisses, they found themselves on the bed, neither remembering how they got there.
They were entwined; he ran his hands through her hair. His mouth was warm on hers and then fiery, and
the softness disappeared, replaced by a fierce intensity. It felt like a wonderful descent. Maya was
beneath him, her body molding into the bed as he caressed everything he had always wanted to touch: her
hair, the arch of her back, her shoulders.
Maya slipped her hands under his shirt, starting to remove it as they both savored each other’s caresses.
In a few minutes, their clothes disappeared completely, and their naked bodies entwined as one. Moans
echoed in the room, accompanied by the obscene sounds of their bodies‘ friction with each thrust.
After several rounds, they were both exhausted and sweaty, Maya rested on his chest while he caressed
her back.
“Looks like you missed me a lot.”
Maya said, laughing.
“You think so?”
“Yes, that’s how it seemed to me. Honestly, I loved it. Don’t tell me you’ve been practicing with someone else while I was away.”
“Of course not, you’re the only woman I’ve been with.”
Cassian responded, his cheeks turning red with embarrassment.
