Chapter 340
“Dad said that something happened, but we need to hurry and figure out the rest, because he’s not sure how much longer he can keep Liam from pulling her from sleep.” I tell Hazel.
She nods, looking back at her books and moving the pages.
“It says, that when someone wants to protect their soul, they remove it in three parts. Their innocence, their vengeance and their love.”
We both just stare at each other, until Dallas has us both looking towards him. “So, we’re looking for her love… The doll was her innocence, and her vengeance… It’s inside Amy.” He whispers, his eyes falling.
Nick grabs his hand and squeezes, “We’ll figure it out.” My eyes close and a sharp breath leaves me, before I turn to look at Griffon.
Determination is etched across his face. “Nick’s right. We’ll figure it out.” He turns to me, “We’ve never been this close.” He whispers, and I reach out and take his hand with a nod.
I turn back to Hazel, “Alright, what could be her love?” I ask and she ticks her tongue.
“I have no idea. Any indications in the journal?” She asks, and I shrug, “Her sister and her mom seem to be the only thing she loved, but I can keep looking.” I tell her, and she nods.
I let go of Griffon’s hand and walk over to grab the journal. When I reach out to grab it, it shocks me and I throw it back to the table.
