Chapter 147 Leveled Up
Margaret’s fingers tapped across the virtual keyboard. A message shot out. “What’s the process for filing for divorce?”
Irene’s reply came almost instantly, opening with her usual crisp deference. “Lady Margaret, good evening. Welcome home safe.“
Then she cut straight to business. “Dissolving a marriage match is straightforward. Complete the electronic form, submit a high-level biometric confirmation, and return it to me.”
There was a brief pause, then a longer follow-up message popped up. “However as the galaxy’s sole SSS- class female, your marital status is public record. Once a match dissolution is confirmed, Central Brain issues a galaxy-wide announcement. Are you certain you wish to proceed?”
An empty electronic form materialized in the air above her bracelet.
Margaret stared at the screen, weighing her options.
The twins had helped her with the Phoebe situation. She owed them for that. But men who’d spent years in the underworld were prone to extremes. If a public divorce notice set them off, there’d be no stopping what came next.
Her position looked glamorous, but every major power had eyes on her. The Imperial Household, the Federal Military, the unseen watchers-all of them measuring her worth.
A messy public divorce would draw nothing but unwanted attention.
Better to wait. When the twins surfaced, she’d talk it through in person. A clean, civil split was best. And if that didn’t work-well, they were black-market ghosts. They had zero verified legal identity on record.
Primo surfaced in her head, curiosity piqued. “Host, are you divorcing Tyrone and Quentin?”
“Yes.” Margaret shut off the Holo-bracelet and sank deeper into the mattress. “Those two look about as law- abiding as a pair of live hand grenades. What am I supposed to do, keep them as pets?”
Primo agreed emphatically, “Danger coefficient far too high. Black-market operatives have no bottom line. Keeping them close is like carrying two ticking time bombs.”
Margaret moved on. “You said unlocking new maps upgrades your permissions. Valoran Galaxy, done. Base Zero, blown. Where are you at now?”
Primo puffed up its virtual chest, practically bursting with smugness. “I’m not the basic, low-permission version of myself anymore. I’ve leveled up to the premium edition.”
It paused for dramatic effect, then dropped into a conspiratorial whisper. “Tomorrow at the Academy of Sciences, I’m hacking into Central Brain for a little test run.”
Margaret snorted, “Fine. Just don’t crash yourself into a forced reboot.”
A knock sounded at the door. The wall chrono read ten at night.
Margaret rolled off the bed and pulled the door open.

Timothy stood in the hallway, dressed in a sharply cut casual suit, hair carefully styled, looking like he was heading to a red carpet event.
“It’s the middle of the night. You dressed for a fashion show?” Margaret leaned against the doorframe, giving him a slow once-over.
Timothy leaned in, voice low and buzzing. “Did you forget? I promised you a big gift. Come on-let me show you
Margaret wasn’t sleepy anyway. The curiosity hooked her. “Fine. Let me change.”
She shut the door, threw on a casual sports set, and five minutes later pulled the door open again.
The hallway had shifted. The overhead sensor lights flickered erratically.
Two powerful spiritual energy fields were colliding in the narrow space, making the metal wall panels hum.
Timothy and Baar stood three paces apart, neither speaking. Thank God the staff had already gone home -ordinary humans caught between two SSS-class males leaking pressure would’ve blacked out on the spot.
