Chapter 158 Don’t Worry About Him
Quentin stared at Tyrone’s over-the-top act with a blank face, completely unmoved,
“You don’t have to stick around if you don’t like it,” Quentin said flatly, sounding almost sincere, “Go find Ms. Greene first thing tomorrow and file for a match dissolution. I’ll stay here alone, keep digging into the Earth stuff, and… work on building a relationship while I’m at it.”
Tyrone was caught totally off guard.
He dropped his hand from his chest and rolled his eyes, annoyed. “You’re gonna ditch your own brother→→ the guy who’s had your back your whole life-over some girl you barely even know? Quentin, did beasts eat your sense of loyalty or something?”
Quentin stood up and didn’t spare him another glance. He set up alarm sensors on the windowsill and by the door first, then walked straight over to the far side of the bed.
“I’m taking the left side.” Quentin flipped back the covers and lay down, folding his hands over his stomach and closing his eyes. “Keep it down. We’ve got leads to follow near the Academy of Sciences tomorrow morning.”
Tyrone stood there, staring at Quentin, who’d already checked out for the night, and gritted his teeth.
What the hell is this?
We’ve come to Prime Planet to uncover the truth, and now Quentin is already getting distracted by a girl.
Tyrone sighed in defeat, turned around, and lay down on the right side of the bed.
“Hey, Quentin.” Tyrone called out, staring at the ceiling.
All he got in return was steady breathing from next to him-no answer.
“If you really like this girl, I’ll help you steal her away, no problem,” Tyrone smiled, his tone cocky. “Baar, Cheiron-doesn’t matter who they are. If you want her, I’ll grab her and the whole villa and haul them both back to Senro Pavilion for you.”
Quentin rolled over, turning his back to him. “Sleep.”
Tyrone raised an eyebrow, rolled onto his side, and closed his eyes, too.
sed his eyes, too.

Sunlight streamed through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows and spilled into the villa’s living room.
Margaret walked down the stairs, and for once, the place felt oddly empty. Usually by this hour. Timothy would bound over to greet her like an overexcited puppy. Baar would be planted in the middle of the couch, those golden slit eyes locked on her the second she walked in.
Today, neither of them was around.

The butler stepped forward right on cue, bowing slightly. “Good morning. Lady Margaret. Lord Hurst was called back to the Hurst Group headquarters by his mother bright and early. Before he left, he specifically asked me to pass along a message. He’ll be back as soon as he finishes work each day, and he wants you to keep thinking about him.”
Margaret paused mid-pull as she dragged out her chair, a shiver running down her spine. Timothy could spout sappy lines like it was nothing, no shame at all.
Cheiron chuckled, picking up his black coffee and taking a sip. He sounded amused as he teased, “Mr. Hurst really doesn’t spare any expense, does he? It’s three whole star sectors one-way from central Prime Planet to the Hurst Group headquarters. Just to spend an extra half day here every day? He fires up that private starship every single time. Fuel for that thing doesn’t come cheap.”
Margaret sighed, silently slapping the label on Timothy.
Total spoiled rich kid.
Blanc, the round little robot, glided over and set a full, hearty breakfast down in front of Margaret. Ever since Timothy’s five-star chef moved in, Blanc had been stuck doing nothing but running errands— carrying drinks and plates around.
Margaret took a big bite of her crispy, juicy bacon sandwich and mumbled around the food, “Where’s Baar?”
“I ran into him on his way out this morning and asked him the same thing.” Cheiron set down his coffee mug. “He’s at the Military Council. Those old Federation senators are getting antsy. They figured if they asked you directly, you’d turn them down, so they’re going through Baar instead to get a foot in the door.”
Margaret slowed down her chewing.
The toxin in Baar’s system wasn’t stable. If he lost control right there in the council chambers, there’d be no hiding his condition anymore.
That idiot-he didn’t even say anything before he left.
Cheiron noticed her furrowed brow and tapped his fingertips lightly against the side of his coffee mug.
“Don’t worry about him too much,” he cut in, pulling her out of her thoughts. “Baar’s been around the military long enough. He’s not gonna get caught that easily. Though your two new roommates upstairs? They left before dawn, real sneaky about where they were going.”
Margaret huffed and didn’t answer, taking a big gulp of milk instead.
“Wanna come with me to the Academy of Sciences today?” Cheiron offered out of the blue.
