Chapter 16 That Should Be Interesting
Phoebe was still standing in the same spot, her fingers gripping the hem of her dress. Her eyes were still red-but this time, it wasn’t an act. That was real fear, real panic, and real distress.
Margaret looked at her and smiled. It was a light smile-almost friendly.
“Ms. James,” she said. “You said you came here to see me?”
Phoebe nodded instinctively.
“Have you seen enough?” Margaret asked again.
Phoebe hadn’t expected that. She looked up, opened her mouth, but nothing came out.
Margaret walked to the door, ready to close it. Then she noticed Ardon, still standing there like a statue.
She smiled again, “Oh, by the way, Mr. Flame. The Female Protection Association will probably be contacting Ms. James’ husbands soon. Maybe you should clear out?”
Ardon’s face went completely dark.
Margaret didn’t look at him. She just closed the door.
The moment the door clicked shut, she heard Phoebe’s voice in the hallway-low and urgent. “I have to go. Right now.”
Then Ardon’s voice sounded. “Let me drive you-”
Phoebe said, “No. Don’t come out.”
Footsteps hurried away.
Margaret leaned against the door and finally let herself laugh out loud.
“Host.” Primo’s voice trembled with excitement. “That was amazing.”
“Primo,” Margaret said. “What do you think her three husbands will do when they get that call?”
“They’ll probably come pick her up immediately. And they’ll have some questions about why she was at / the three S-class males’ house.”

“That should be interesting.” Margaret walked to the bed and sat down. “Let her do the explaining.”
“But Host…” Primo’s voice suddenly turned a little confused. “Why did Phoebe get affected by Ardon’s aura? Isn’t she S-class? An S-class shouldn’t react that strongly to another S-class’ aura. Unless…”
“Unless what?” Margaret raised an eyebrow.
“Unless she isn’t really S-class.” Primo’s voice grew serious. “If she’s actually A-class, that would make sense.”
