She made a mental note to buy a swimsuit. No way she was letting this pool go to waste. She stood up, shook the water droplets off her hands, and headed to the kitchen.

The kitchen was fully stocked, but Margaret wasn’t in the mood to cook anything fancy.

She decided to make the simplest thing possible — scrambled eggs on toast.

“Waaah!” Primo let out an embarrassingly awestruck sigh in her head. “Host! It smells so good, so good, so good! What kind of divine delicacy is this?”

“It’s just scrambled eggs on toast. You’ve never seen anything, have you?” Margaret turned off the stove and scooped the dish into a white ceramic plate.

“In the Interstellar Era, everyone’s chugging nutrient solution. Who has time for this kind of cooking?” Primo was practically howling with longing.

Margaret carried her plate to the dining table, grabbed a spoon, and had just lifted a scoop to her mouth.

The smart doorbell rang. Margaret didn’t stop chewing. Her Holo-bracelet had automatically connected to the house’s security system. She tapped the virtual panel and pulled up the live feed from the front door.

The screen lit up. Two men stood outside.

The one on the left was very tall, wearing a crisp, pitch-black military uniform. The metal buttons on his shoulders and collar glinted coldly in the sunlight. His hair was neat and sharp, his features deeply sculpted and aggressively handsome. His golden eyes, in particular, radiated a commanding pressure that Margaret could feel even through the screen.

It was Baar. He hadn’t even changed clothes. He’d clearly come straight from the military.

The man on the right had a completely different vibe.

He had bright, tousled, light blond hair and wore well made casual clothes. His features were deep set but softer, and his ice blue eyes were strikingly bright. He had an easy, relaxed aura about him. And he was holding a huge bouquet of blood red roses.

Margaret didn’t recognize him, but her brain immediately made the connection.

It was Timothy. The richest man’s son, who had a childlike drawing of a smiling sun as his profile picture and had called her “dear” right out of the gate. His real-life energy matched that dorky profile picture in a weird way.

The security feed had audio. The two men outside were clearly not getting along

He smiled brightly, “Mr. Iverson, just getting off work? Couldn’t you change clothes before coming to see your mate? With all that killer aura, people might think you’re here to raid the place.”

“None of your business.” Baar didn’t look at him. His gaze was fixed straight ahead on the front door, his voice low and impatient.

“How can you say it’s none of my business?” Timothy held the roses in one hand and shoved the other casually into his pants pocket. His tone was light and infuriatingly smug. “What if that terrifying look on your face scares my mate? She’s a delicate female.”

Back in the dining room, Margaret had just swallowed a mouthful of water. At Timothy’s words, she inhaled the water straight down the wrong pipe.

She covered her mouth, coughing violently, tears nearly streaming down her face.

Outside, Baar finally turned his head. His golden eyes locked onto Timothy, cold as ice. He didn’t speak, but the spiritual pressure of a 3S-class male radiated outward, silent and invisible, making the very air around them feel heavy and stifled.

Timothy didn’t even flinch. As a fellow 35 class, he was completely unaffected. He even raised a hand to toy with the petals of the roses in his arms, his smile growing even brighter.
