Margaret looked down at the man sprawled on the ground. “Since you trust her so deeply, take this bottle back with you. See for yourself-will she use these drugs to get rid of me, or swallow them all herself?”

She turned and walked out of the alley right after speaking.

Timothy lifted his foot from Ardon’s back, and the overwhelming spiritual pressure vanished instantly. The bodyguards on the ground gasped for air, utterly relieved to be free from the crushing force. Ardon convulsed all over, collapsing.

Timothy hurried to catch up with Margaret, his tone soft and clingy once again. “Are we really just letting him go. My Lady?”

Margaret glanced over at him and let out a quiet laugh. “Watching them turn on each other is far better than better than dirtying your shoes.”

Timothy’s eyes lit up. He stepped forward, ready to hold her hand. “You’re so clever, My Lady.”

Primo’s confused voice sounded in Margaret’s mind. “What do you mean by them turning on each other, host?”

Margaret kept walking steadily under the bright sunlight as she explained the whole situation, “Ardon has no savings left, and his record is permanently tainted.

“Phoebe will never choose to stay with a man who has lost all his value. What’s more, Phoebe’s three A- class partners are extremely possessive. They will never allow a disgraced S-class male to join their family and compete for Phoebe’s affection.

“Once Ardon delivers the drugs after losing everything, he will learn two harsh truths. Phoebe has tricked him completely, and the goddess he adores is nothing more than a fraud who relies on drugs to maintain her rank.”

A sharp glint flashed across Margaret’s eyes. “What a desperate fugitive with nothing left will choose to do. next?”

A figure stepped out from the deep shadows of the alley.

The person wore a solid black half-mask that covered the upper half of his face. His striking silver-white long hair was tied back neatly. Through the eye holes of the mask, a pair of cold red eyes stared out, devoid of any warmth.

Quentin watched Margaret and Timothy walk away into the distance.

He had recognized the woman at first glance. Her name and portrait from the matching list released by the Central Brain were burned firmly into his memory.

Margaret was the shared partner of him and his elder brother, Tyrone. (D)

He stayed silent the entire time. He only emerged from the shadows after the alley fell completely quiet.

The four bodyguards had helped one another stand up and limp away. Ardon had dragged his injured legs and crawled out slowly, looking like a beaten stray dog.

The black market middleman who had sold the drugs to Ardon hid behind the shipping container, trembling în terror. The massive 35-class pressure Timothy had unleashed earlier had nearly crushed his internal organs, even through the thick metal walls.

Quentin walked up to the container and tapped twice on the metal surface.

The middleman scrambled to push the door open. When he saw the silver-haired man with red eyes, he dropped to his knees in fright.

Quentin spoke in a deep, hoarse voice. “From now on, report to me immediately the moment Timothy from the Hurst Group and that woman appear in this area.”

The middleman nodded repeatedly, cold sweat streaming down his face.

Quentin paid him no further attention. He turned and vanished into the dim side alleys hidden behind Valoran Galaxy’s bustling main streets.

Beneath the planet’s bright, glamorous surface lay a vast underground realm.

Quentin passed through several narrow passages piled high with discarded high-tech parts. He used his iris to unlock three hidden doors, then stepped into an old elevator that carried him steadily downward.

When the elevator doors opened, the scene stood in stark contrast to the colorful resort world above ground.

There were no glaring neon lights, no floating holographic billboards, and no noisy street vendors. The underground city was neat and orderly, with wide, smooth roads. All the buildings along the streets were built in an ancient traditional style.

The most eye-catching structure was a three-story building right in the center.

Metal and synthetic materials were the cheapest construction supplies across the galaxies. Genuine natural hardwood, especially sturdy timber for building houses, was worth more than gold.

Every part of this building—from the load-bearing pillars to the roof-was crafted from the finest oak and dark yew timber. These woods were not stronger than high-strength alloy. Using them to build a residence was purely a display of the owner’s boundless wealth.

This place was merely one branch of the Senro Pavilion on the Valoran Galaxy. No one could imagine how extravagant their headquarters in other galaxies might be.

Quentin climbed the wooden stairs and walked through several intricately carved wooden doors. He finally stopped in front of a room at the very end of the corridor.

He pushed the door open, and a rich sandalwood fragrance drifted out to greet him.
