Primo kept relaying updates inside Margaret’s mind. “Host, Ardon went into that abandoned shipping container by the shore. There are no signal towers inside, so it’s a surveillance blind spot. I can’t access any feeds from in there.”
Timothy’s Holo-bracelet vibrated twice beside Margaret.
He glanced at the screen, then leaned close to her ear and spoke in a low voice. “He picked up two things. One is a clear liquid-it’s almost certainly a deadly poison. The other is twenty pills made to rapidly boost spiritual power.”
Margaret raised an eyebrow and shot him a sideways look. The Hurst Group truly held total sway over Valoran Galaxy. Ardon had barely stepped into the container before they learned every detail of his purchase. Their intelligence network was even faster than a live broadcast.
The poison was clearly meant for her, his former partner.
She wondered about the twenty pills.
The quantity was far too large for a simple frame-up. Only Phoebe would need such a massive dose to sustain herself.
Timothy twirled his empty glass in his hand, his tone light and carefree. “Do you want to go take a look, My Lady?”
Margaret leaned back in her chair and did not move. She always put her own safety first and saw no reason to risk herself over a fool like Ardon.
“Is it dangerous?” she asked plainly.
Timothy laughed. “No one on Valoran Galaxy would dare hurt you. If the sun bothers you, I can go alone and handle him.”
“We’ve come all this way,” Margaret said as she stood up. “Let’s go meet my former partner. After all, he spent every last credit he owns just to send me these so-called gifts.”
Timothy hurried along right behind her.
A narrow, grimy alley ran behind the shipping container, littered with broken hovercar parts.
Ardon tucked the two bottles against his chest. He had just stepped out of the shadows when a wall of men blocked his path.
Four burly men in floral shirts stood across the alley. They held no weapons, but their formation scaled off both ends completely.
Ardon took half a step back and reached for the particle gun at his waist.
Footsteps echoed from the alley entrance. Timothy walked in front, with Margaret following a short distance behind him.
Panic surged through Ardon the second he recognized Margaret’s face.

He drew his particle gun and aimed it forward, shouting loudly, “What are you doing here? Why have you come?”
Margaret stopped three steps away. She paid no attention to the dark muzzle of the gun pointed at her.
She folded her arms across her chest and spoke in a casual tone. “Twenty pills. Is that how much medicine Phoebe needs just to barely stay at S class?”
Ardon froze, caught off guard and unable to think straight. He blurted out, “That’s ridiculous. These pills were meant for you…”
He cut himself off abruptly.
Ardon was not completely ignorant. He realized his mistake the moment the words left his mouth. Twenty pills were far too many to use for framing one person,
Margaret saw the whole picture clearly now. Ardon knew nothing about Phoebe’s true condition. He had been nothing more than a personal ATM and a scapegoat all along. A laugh slipped from her lips.
“You’re incredibly generous to her.” Margaret said. “You emptied out all your savings to buy these drugs, and you never even figured out she isn’t really an S-class female at all?”
Ardon burned with shame and rage. His spiritual power flared wildly as he snapped harshly, “Shut up. Who do you think you are to speak-”
He never finished his sentence. An overwhelming, oppressive aura crashed down from above.
Timothy dropped his playful act entirely. Fury raged in his blue eyes, and he unleashed his full 3S-class pressure directly onto Ardon.
Ardon did not even let out a whimper. His knees slammed hard onto the stone pavement, and his bones let out a sharp crack. He collapsed onto the ground, gasping for air, unable to lift even one finger.
The four bodyguards in the alley could not withstand the pressure either. They dropped to their knees one after another, their faces pale, while sweat soaked through their floral shirts.
Timothy paid no mind to his own men. He walked over to Ardon, stepped onto his back, and twisted his foot against the man’s flesh.
A painful groan escaped Ardon.
Margaret stood completely still and raised an eyebrow at the group of fallen men.
When Timothy lost control of his temper, he did not hold back even against his own people,
This young master was so ruthless…
“Timothy,” Margaret said in a calm voice.
Timothy paused his movement and turned to look at her. The rage in his eyes faded a little. “My Lady, the easiest thing to do is get rid of this trash for good.”
