Get Back The Abandoned Luna (Scarlett and Alexander) novel Chapter 138

Chapter 138

Third Person’s POV

chers

Lucien’s gaze snapped to Scarlett. His chest heaved, his ribs bruised and bleedingbut he didn’t care. His eyes moved swiftly over his beloved Luna to see if she was unharmed, and upon noticing the wound on her hands had stopped bleeding, he breathed a sigh of relief.

Then his eyes fell onto Scarlett, who seemed indifferent. Her eyes were scarlet, sweeping over each of them as if she were debating whether to kill them all easily or to torture them first.

He even saw the corner of her lips twitch slightly upward, despite the cold, emotionless expression she wore. He didn’t know what was happening to his Luna or what the Alpha of the Blackbloods had done to cause Scarlett to become like thisfor her to be this angry.

Although she didn’t show it on her face, Lucien, who was bonded with Scarlett, could feel that she was furious.

That fucking fool!Kade cursed under his breath. He could have just killed her directly when she was screaming earlier!

Lucien’s eyes narrowed as he looked at him coldly. What did you do to my Luna?

Kade chuckled. Easy, Alpha. I’m innocent in all this and besides, this isn’t anyone else’s doing. I’m telling youYour Luna is a devil.

Lucien’s eyes shrank. He lunged at Kade, stabbing him in his shoulder. What the fuck did you do to her?!

Kade met Lucien’s maddened eyes and shoved him away. I told you, instead of questioning me, you should ask your Luna. You’ve been Alpha since you were a kid so I’m sure you’ve heard about the Dark Moon.

Lucien paused, his eyes widening slightly.

Dark Moon.

They were the strongest among all the packs that had ever existed. No one ever knew where their exact location was, since every year they changed it. They were notorious back then, never interfering in any pack

wars.

They were all skilled in medicineit was even rumored that the Dark Moon had created an elixir for longevity, which attracted many packs pursuing them.

However, those entering their territory only returned halfdead, their bodies riddled with toxinsa kind of poison that couldn’t be cured except by the one who cast it.

Because of this, all the packs decided to exclude themto fight against them. They joined forces, not out of anger but out of greed. They wanted the elixirs, the wealth, the land, everything.

To put it simply, the Dark Moon was heaven, while the ground where the other packs lived was hell.

So many packs pursued the Dark Moon that a massive war broke out. The Dark Moon, despite being above all others, had the smallest number of people.

At that time, only twenty of them were left, fighting thousands of enemies.

They all fought, eyes scarlet as if injected with bloodor maybe truly devils as everyone described. They defeated their enemies effortlessly, not a drop of sweat or a scratch on them, leaving the few remaining wolves to flee.

The Dark Moon didn’t pursue them, which left people with questions, but what no one knew was that when they returned to their territory, they all went back to their rooms and fell into comas.

Until one day, a woman emerged from the Dark Moon. She had run away from her pack and chosen to be with a beta managing another pack-

The Winter Pack.

That woman and the Winter Pack’s beta fell in love, but because she had left the Dark Moon without the queen’s permission, her life didn’t last long.

She knew better than anyone that those who left Dark Moon without the Queen’s approval would feel the poison they’d inhaled start to consume their vitality.

After the runaway woman died, the Dark Moon seemed to vanish as well. No one heard of them for decades; everyone believed they were all dead.

If they still existed, surely they wouldn’t hide within their territory and never come outunless they truly were gone.

But now, a woman from the Dark Moon appeared again.

Lucien’s eyes fell onto Scarlett, who was looking at him.

I’m sure you’ve noticed how peculiar she is, right, Alpha?Kade smirked and continued, It’s still not too late to break your bond with her. After all, you two haven’t had your sacred marriage, and you haven’t even marked each other.

Hearing this, Lucien’s jaw clenched. The veins in his forehead and neck throbbed as he glared coldly at Kade. It’ll be a secret forever if I kill you now.

Kade laughed. I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s noticed, Lucien.

Then I’ll kill them all.

Kade smirked. We’ll see about that.

Lucien watched coldly as Kade’s body convulsed, his bones snapping as fur tore through his skin. A hideous howl ripped from Kade’s throat as his form shifted, warping back into a monstrous wolf. His fur was gray. scarred, and ragged. His yellow eyes burned with malice; his maw was full of jagged fangs covered with foam and blood. He threw his head back and howled, his voice heavy with intent.

His

locked on Lucien.

I’ll make sure to kill you, Lucien. His voice was a low growl.

Lucien laughed and echoed the words, We’ll see about that.

But his eyes were icy cold. He wanted to finish this quickly, to protect his Luna.

An explosive crackling went through his own body, bones breaking, skin tearing as thick silver fur emerged. In an instant, Lucien vanished, replaced by a great wolf, his coat white as snow beneath the dark moon.

Dropping to one knee, he scratched the ground with his claws. His chest heaved, straining with the effort, reopening wounds as he moved. A growl rumbled deep in his throat, rough and shaky at first, then pouring out in full force, making the enemies freeze on the spot.

They all felt the overwhelming presence of the strongest Alpha, and his Luna who stood by with icy composure while Nick and Arnold protected her.

When Lucien’s wolf form straightened fully, the very ground seemed smaller beneath him. Power radiated from his frame.

The air crackled between them. Lucien glanced coldly at Kade’s wolf form, which looked like a child beside him.

Kade, who moments ago was prideful, burned with anger and shame. This was the first time he had seen Lucien’s wolf; even in war, Lucien usually wouldn’t transform, instead infusing his human body with wolf traitslike claws or enhanced speed.

Kade snarled first and lunged, claws slashing desperately. Lucien met him headon, with thunderous force. Their bodies collided with a sickening crunch, sending dust and blood spraying.

Kade’s claws raked Lucien’s flank, tearing deep into his fur. Lucien roared in pain, his jaws snapping shut a hair away from Kade’s throat. They rolled through the dirt, snarling, biting, tearing in savage abandon— neither holding back.

Lucien clamped his jaws on Kade’s shoulder, crushing hard. Kade let out a gasp of pain as the bone cracked. He howled and thrashed, his claws tearing at Lucien’s chest in return. Blood spilled down Lucien’s silvery fur, hot and flowing into the dirt. But Lucien only tightened his grip, shaking Kade violently like prey in a trap.
