Get Back The Abandoned Luna (Scarlett and Alexander) novel Chapter 200

Chapter 200

Lucien

Day Two

It had been two days since my little wolf fell asleep.

I checked on her constantly. Yesterday, her entire body had been burning as if it were about to burst, and the sight of it had sent me into a panic I hadn’t felt in years. I summoned the physician to examine her, desperate for answers, but even she couldn’t diagnose what was wrong. All she could suggest was wiping her body with a cold towel to help bring down her temperature.

So I did.

Once. Twice. Six timesmaybe seven. I had lost count.

Every time her temperature rose abnormally, I wiped her down again. I didn’t allow anyone inside the room.

Not even the children.

Now, two days later, her condition has improved slightly. She was still hot, still running a fever, but it was no longer like yesterdaywhen her body felt as though it were boiling beneath my hands.

My gaze settled on her sleeping figure. Her face was serene, peaceful, completely unaware that her body was still burningor that her Alpha was worried sick beside her.

I lifted my hand gently, brushing aside the strands of hair that had fallen over her face.

Even now, my heart continues to beat wildly. I wasn’t sure if it was fearthat she might take a long time to wake againor that I had fallen for her all over again.

I shouldn’t have let her out of my sight. I should have taken her with mealways

If only she could fit in my pocket, I would carry her everywhere, no matter how much she protested.

NoI would keep her with me and never look away again.

Because every time I dideven for a momentsomething like this happened.

Montero Pack.

Did they deliberately send wild rogues to the bordersright where I was patrollingjust to distract me so they could go after my family?

The thought alone made my blood boil.

I should have known better. They had already targeted my children. Now, they were targeting my wife.

They were asking for war.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a knock on the door.

I intended to ignore it, as I had been doing, until I heard Natasha’s voice from the other side.

I glanced at my little wolf first, making sure she was properly dressed, before walking to the door and opening it.

I heard what happened,Natasha said. Her brows were furrowed, urgency flickering in her eyes.

Chapter 200

When will my little wolf wake up?I asked bluntly.

The fear had been eating at mewhat if it took her months? I didn’t think I could endure that. Even now, my sanity felt like

it was slipping away as I stared at her, then at the clock, over and over, waiting for her eyes to open.

But they never did.

Natasha didn’t answer immediately. Instead, she stepped into the room and gently placed her hand on my little wolf’s forehead.

I frowned. Is something wrong with her? Was she drugged? Is she injured?

Natasha looked at me, her brows drawn together. She’s in critical condition.

My heart dropped.

The air in the room turned colder, rage flooding my blood, a violent urge to kill clawing its way up my spine.

Thenshe laughed.

I snapped my gaze at her. What are you laughing at?My voice was cold. Is this funny to you?

I’m joking, she said lightly, clapping her hands. Relax. She’s fine. Her body is just forcing itself to rest because she pushed it too hard.”

I clenched my jaw.

Fuck. If she weren’t my little wolf’s grandmother, I would have crushed her skull for a joke like that.

You’re too stiff, she added, as if reading my thoughts. Your Luna is safeI can assure you of that. What’s strange is that she managed to wake up earlier than expected after using our abilities.

She paused, frowning deeply as she murmured to herself. This has never happened in our pack’s history. Even I couldn’t even achieve that. Is it because she has too many lingering attachments here? That shouldn’t be itwe all had strong ties to this land.

She snapped out of her thoughts and shook her head. Never mind. What matters is whether she can wake up early again. Will she?I asked quietly, my gaze drifting back to my little wolf.

Natasha sighed and shook her head. I don’t know. She’s the only one who can control it. She managed to wake up early- but it took a toll on her body, which is why she ended up like this again.”

Her eyes sharpened suddenly. Did you exhaust her during the night?

I paused.

Guilt settled heavily in my chest.

She sighed helplessly, rubbing her temples. These married couplesShe waved it off. Anyway, she’s strong. She will wake up sooner than expected. You might want to talk to hershe loves you. She may be able to hear your voice and wake up even earlier.

Seeing her wave a hand, clearly about to leave, I stopped her.

You’re leaving?

She rarely stays these days. It seemed she had been busier than everyet she never failed to keep an eye on Scarlett and Archer. No matter how occupied she was, she always appeared the moment something happened.

Chapter 200

Did something happen to the Dark Moon?I asked.

She paused, then turned to look at me.

As expected from an Alpha, she said, clearly not intending to hide it.

Is it manageable?I asked calmly.

She chuckled and nodded. Don’t worry. Even though my pack has fewer than twenty members, each one of them is stronger than a dozen combined. There’s nothing to worry about.

I nodded. If she said it like that, then it meant the situation was under control.

I see.I turned my back and walked toward my little wolf. Don’t die.

Close the door on your way out.”

Tsk, you brat, she sneered, amused, before letting out a soft chuckle. Take good care of your family, they were all targetting them.

I frowned. Did you happen to know why?

I turned toward her. She stopped, her hand frozen on the doorknob.

A heavy sigh left her lips. It seems my kindness has turned against me.

My eyes darkened. Explain.”

They’re most likely targeting Scarlett and Archer because of their connection to the Dark Moon, she said coldly, still not looking back. Protect themespecially your Luna. She’s far too reckless with her body, as if she has more than one life to waste.

My jaw tightened.
