Chapter 207 Plan to Deal With Them
Scarlett
Seeing the two of them curled up on the bed Archer never once letting go of Claude’s hand even in his sleep–I couldn’t help but soften. And yet, guilt crept in just as quickly. A nine–year–old had been the one protecting a three–year–old, when it should have been the adults.
They had both been through too much.
Why does the Montero keep coming for us? For my family? What do they want from us?
Should I meet them myself? If I do… would they finally stop interfering with the lives of my precious children?
I snapped out of my thoughts when a warm hand wrapped around my waist, his face burying into the crook of my neck. Even without looking, I knew exactly who it was.
“Have you finished dealing with him?” I asked calmly.
“I did.”
“Did you kill him?” I leaned back against his chest.
“I tortured him a little,” he answered, pausing before letting out a cold chuckle. “Until he begged me to kill him instead. But I didn’t. Death is far too easy for a traitor like him.”
“Where is he now?” I asked.
“In Arnold’s hands,” he replied. “He’ll be his guinea pig.”
A cold chuckle slipped past my lips. “Indeed. Death would be mercy.”
My gaze drifted back to the children sleeping in the middle of our bed, so peaceful it was hard to believe they had suffered at Shun’s hands at all.
Especially Claude.
Earlier, he hadn’t been able to sleep–not even the anesthesia could keep him under as the physician cleaned and stitched his wounds. He’d kept insisting it was nothing, that he wouldn’t die so easily.
It wasn’t until Archer broke down in tears and clutched his hand that Claude panicked. He had patted Archer gently, coaxing him to sleep–only to fall asleep himself soon after, with Archer still holding on.
“These children are far too young to be scarred by horrors like this,” I pressed my lips together. “I want them to live here in peace–no longer hunted under Montero’s wings. Are we truly going to stay passive and endure their blatant attacks?”
His arms never loosened around my waist. He lowered his head and brushed a gentle kiss against my neck.
“I’ve already sent people to investigate Montero,” he said calmly. “Their pack structure. Their blueprints. If they return alive….. should we go to them instead?”
“And the children?” I frowned. “I can’t leave them behind knowing traitors are still lurking within our walls. Shun can’t be the only one. Otherwise, how could Montero’s people come and go so easily–as if this were their own pack?” My gaze darkened.
T
That’s right. Until every traitor is dragged into the light, I cannot let my children remain here–not when they could be taken again. I was certain they were already losing their trust in adults after everything that had happened.
Once the traitors are dealt with… then I’ll be free to face Montero myself.
Earlier, when the physician finished treating Kane and moved on to Claude, I had seen it clearly–my son snapping into defense mode. Archer had positioned himself between Claude and the physician, eyes sharp, body tense, shielding his injured brother as if prepared to fight.
It took everything I had to coax him. I told him the physician was there to heal Claude, that nothing would happen as long as I was there. Only then did he lower his guard enough to step aside.
But he never truly relaxed.
He watched every movement–every touch–as the wounds were cleaned and stitched, as though believing that the moment he let his guard down, something terrible would happen again.
And seeing that-
It shattered my heart. Children were supposed to be carefree yet these damned pests kept on interfering with our lives when we only wanted peace.
Chapter 207 Planjo Deal With Them I’ll never forgive them
ever let them peace easily.
Tswear to destroy them.

Despite raising our security to the highest level, always on alert if an enemy would attack or even if they saw suspicious person–the Montero still manage to slip by.
All because there were traitors here that made Monteros easier to come and go as if they owned their place.
And it made their plan to take my son half–successful.
“I’ll help with the investigation,” I said. “More precisely, I want Kaya involved–someone who can sniff out the traitors still hiding within our pack.”
Lucien nodded. “We’ve already caught two others aside from Shun. Arnold informed me after I handed him over–Garrick and the others apprehended them. One was a servant omega. The other belonged to the patrols.”
His voice remained even as he continued, which somehow made it worse.“They were observed for days by Garrick and the others since I had already told them that there might be tratiors in the pack and I wanted them to catch them and bring them to the basement. Garrick they were baited–told that another traitor had been captured. We watched their reactions.” He paused. “Garrick and the others had doubt someone in mind so they ask Arnold for solution which Arnold told them to bait them with words. As expected, the moment they heard that the Alpha issued an order to lock down the Nightshade to purge all the trators, the color of their faces had drained as they wanted to escape right away–but how could Garrick and the others let them?”
Lucien chuckled, his gaze were dark. “They were currently in the basement as Arnold and Nick who specialize in torture, were currently dealing with them.”
My gaze darkened upon hearing this. I couldn’t help but let out a mocking laugh as the anger in my chest burned even
more.
“They’re getting bolder and bolder.”
Lucien let out a cold chuckle, his arm tightening around my waist. “Which is why I plan to send Montero a gift.”
I didn’t need clarification. “The traitors‘ heads?”
“Yes.” He brushed a kiss against my cheek, gentle and possessive. “They’ve harassed our pack long enough. Tried to touch you. Tried to harm our children. I’ll make sure they understand the cost.”
He was speaking calmly, but I know, just like me, Lucien was also angry.
The more angry he is, the more calm and clear headed he becomes and since he said they would deal with them, he won’t make their death easy.
However, his phrase means he would deal with them alone.
“You’re going alone?” I frowned.
He paused, then sighed. “No. I’ll take elite warriors with me. We’ll infiltrate their base.”
“They aren’t weak,” I said sharply. “And I’m going with you. They crossed a line when they touched our children. I won’t stand aside.”
Lucien shook his head and stepped back just enough to look at me fully. His hands cupped my face, thumbs warm against my skin.
“You’ll stay,” he said softly–but there was no room for argument. “You’ll protect the pack. You’ll protect the children.”
His gaze darkened. “If I’m away, they may attempt another infiltration. I need to know you’re here. Only then can I fight without restraint.”
I lowered my gaze.
He was right.
This wasn’t before–when I could leave, declare war, and burn enemy territory to the ground without consequence. I wasn’t just a warrior anymore. I was a mother. A Luna. A pillar of the pack.
