“Alpha, two packages have been delivered here,” Alexander’s attendant politely said as he instructed his pe packages they had received on the ground.

The packages were heavy, and it was clear that someone had spent considerable time and effort wr sending them to Crescent Moon, as if they wanted the recipient to understand that they mattered a

Alexander’s eyes narrowed as he paused during lunch. His gaze fell on the large box adorned with ribbons, its no crest, making it difficult to discern who had sent it.

“From whom?” Alexander asked his attendant.

He shook his head. “We don’t know. The packages were left in front of our gates. The soldiers there said it was a gift for Lady Faye, but the sender is unknown.”

Faye was sitting quietly beside Alexander, eating patiently, but her eyes were vacant as she continued to worry about the rogues she had sent to Nightshade to kill Scarlett. There had been no news, which made her anxious.

What if those rogues had just taken her money and not done the job? What if they had been caught by the Alpha?

Damn it. She couldn’t even swallow her food properly because of her worries. She had already promised Alexander that she wouldn’t do anything to Scarlett now that their bond was broken, but how could she just sit still when Alexander’s mind was still fixated on that bitch, Scarlett?!

There was no way she would let Scarlett steal the man she loved and the father of her child!

Upon hearing that there were two packages sent exclusively to her, her eyes shone with excitement. It seemed that someone from a neighboring pack wanted her. Perfect timing.

‘For me? What is it?” Faye didn’t bother to hide her excitement as she gazed at the two large boxes wrapped in ribbons and flowers. It was obvious that it looked like someone was courting her.

Alexander shot her a cold glance. “Step closer,” he snapped at the servants. “Open it, so we can see.”

Faye frowned, about to say that she should be the one to open it since the sender had put so much effort into it for het However, Alexander glared at her, making her pout as she shifted her attention to the two servants who began to open the packages instead.

Faye could hardly contain her excitement as the servants slowly untied the ribbons. One pried open the lid with shaky hands while the other did the same to the second box, taking off the lids at the same time. As soon as the boxes creaked open, a foul stench filled the room.

A servant took one look inside, shrieked, and collapsed to the ground in a dead faint. The second staggered back, clapping

her hand to her mouth as she retched.

Faye’s excitement vanished, replaced with nausea and horror. She staggered, clutching the table for support, her face going pale as she saw what was inside the gift box–the mangled bodies of the rogues she had secretly met and paid to kill Scarlet. Blood dried black, with limbs twisted at grotesque angles as if they’d been tossed in like trash.

But one could tell that they had suffered before they died.

Alexander’s jaw tightened, his face darkening further as his eyes fell upon the fallen envelope card. He reached for it and read silently, his features turning to stone.

Faye’s voice cracked, still shaken from the afternoon’s events which had ruined her appetite “What does are

Faye’s breath hitched, her hands trembling. 1-1… I can explain, Alexander…”

Alexander’s fist crumpled the envelope. He slammed it down on the table, the wood groaning beneath 70 to move against her?! Didn’t I tell you to stay out of it?!”

Faye flinched. ‘I–I never-

“Don’t fucking lie to my face. Faye!” Alexander’s eyes blazed with anger. “So this is what you’ve been doing behind my back? Ordering–paying someone to kill Scarlett? Now take a fucking good look at what you’ve done!”

Faye shook her head furiously, but her voice shook. She gritted her teeth in envy and jealousy, furious that even now Alexander’s anger was for Scarlett’s sake. He was angry at her, not because she had been in danger, but because she had tried to kill Scarlett.

“I only wanted to protect what’s ours. Alexander! I just wanted to get rid of her for us, so the three of us can have a good life! Why can’t you understand that?! You love her! What do I have to do to make you stop thinking about her?! Do I have to act like Scarlett for you to love me too, and not just lust over me?” Faye snapped. She roared, tears glistening in her eyes as she looked at him accusingly.

“Stop talking, Faye.” Alexander cut her off, his words sharp and without any trace of sympathy, even seeing her cry. “You will never be like her. Now be a good girl and stop overthinking things, or you’ll harm our heir.”

Faye’s face was streaked with tears; she glared at him in fury. “Is that all I am to you, Alexander? Someone just good for giving you an heir?!”

Alexander looked at her coldly. “Otherwise?” His words cut even deeper into her heart.

Before Faye could reply, he glanced at the servants who had just recovered from the shock. “Take your madam to her room to rest. After that, clean up the trash and dispose of it properly.”

The “trash” he meant was the ‘gift‘ they had received from Lucien.

The servants nodded, trembling as they moved to help Faye, but she shook them off and glared.

“I can fucking manage!”

She stormed off, fists clenched so tightly that her nails broke the skin of her palms.

Tears streamed down, but each drop fueled her growing hatred Scarlett! She would not get away with this! Always her?

“He’ll see,” she whispered to herself, eyes wild, the corner of her lips curling up “It I can’t have him she won’t either Ill burn her world, just like she burned mine!”

This time, she realized, no matter what she did. Alexander would never cherish her the way he did Scarlett

She no longer merely wanted Alexander’s love. She wanted Scarlett gone–utterly destroyed.
