Chapter 452 Sorry to interrupt
As she spoke, she pulled out the bone spike, a spray of bright red blood splattering across her hands and body.
A bright, beautiful smile lit up her face. “It’s just as easy to lose control.”
Her hand came down.
She drove it in again.
“You were the one who signed off on my mental illness certificate. So even if I kill you and burn this place to the ground, what does it matter?” Cassie’s face looked innocent, but her eyes were dark and chilling.
Tanner was shocked and terrified, scrambling to prop himself up on his elbows. “H-help!”
Half his body was completely drenched in blood.
Cassie cocked her head to the side.
Blood streaked the corner of her eye, a vivid red. She looked at Eulalia and Xyla with a twisted, almost deranged gaze. “Isn’t it ironic? The day my mom died just happened to be your birthday.”
Downstairs, the party was wild.
Pink balloons floated everywhere, and rainbow bubbles filled the air.
Eulalia had a diamond crown sparkling on her head.
Meanwhile, Cassie was hiding in the closet, covering her mouth to keep from making a sound.
She witnessed in terror as her mother, after years of being slowly poisoned, was forced to her breaking point by the very piano teacher she once trusted, until she couldn’t take it anymore.
Cassie flashed a twisted smile.
She stepped up to Xyla, dragging her fingers across that flawless, pampered skin, leaving a bloody streak behind.
Xyla went limp and crumpled to the floor.
Her eyes went wide with fear, pupils contracting.
The bone spike drifted menacingly near her eye.
“Arrest her! She’s insane! She just attacked someone right in front of you! Why aren’t you stopping her?!”
Eulalia broke down in tears, looking desperately at Lion, begging him to do something.
Lion looked down with icy indifference, dressed head to toe in black, not a hint of mercy in his eyes. “What did you see?”
Lion shot a look at his squad.
His voice was cold enough to freeze the air.
Lion Squad stood at attention, hands behind their backs. “Nothing.”
Not a single one of them even blinked.
Eulalia was totally floored. Her mind just went blank for a second.
‘Are they blind or what?’ Eulalia cursed inwardly, unable to believe what she was seeing.
“Don’t you dare!” Eulalia screamed, her whole body shaking as she watched the bone spike get dangerously close to her mother’s eye.
Cassie arched an eyebrow. “Are you trying to provoke me?”
The next second, Cassie drove the bone spike, the same soul-piercing spike that had been rammed into her real mom’s skull years ago, straight into Xyla’s right eye.
“Owwwwwwwww!” Xyla screamed at the top of her lungs, her voice raw and desperate.
She clutched her eye, collapsing onto the lawn rolling on the go. In pain.

“Mom!” Eulalia screamed, her voice cracking with panic.
The rich kids and socialites were paralyzed with fear, standing there like statues. Some went pale and fainted, others caught the scent of blood and puked right on the spot.
.
“Eulalia,” Cassie called softly, the haunting beauty of the tear-shaped mole at the corner of her eye impossible to ignore. “This is my birthday gift to you.”
She had deliberately chosen today for this.
“Happy Birthday!” Cassie said, her voice dripping with mockery.
“Cassie, you bitch! I hope you die a miserable death!” Eulalia sobbed, clutching her mother as she convulsed in pain, her eyes blazing with hatred.
She continued, “I’m engaged to the Knight family! You really think I can’t just call Jaxon and have him wipe you all out?”
Stella, lounging in her chair, just let out a flat “Oh.” “And why would Jaxon listen to you?”
Eulalia snapped, “Because I’m Cookie’s real mom!”
She was so out of control, she just blurted out whatever came to mind.
As soon as Eulalia blurted that out, Cassie froze. The thought of adorable little Cookie made her face go from soft to stone-cold.
‘Wait. Cookie is that jerk’s kid with Eulalia?’ Cassie thought, her heart twisting in disbelief.
“Is that so?” Lion said with a smirk, his eyes glinting with amusement.
He turned around, his eyes landing on that bold, handsome face emerging from the darkness.
The two of them locked eyes.
“Jaxon?” Eulalia blurted out, her voice trembling.
Eulalia was totally floored. Her mind just went blank for a second.
She whipped her head around, stiff as a board, staring at Jaxon, who had suddenly appeared. She had no clue how long he’d been watching, but the instant he started walking toward her, her heart nearly stopped.
“Jaxon…” Eulalia’s voice faltered, barely above a whisper.
Eulalia’s heart skipped a beat, anxiety twisting in her gut.
Jaxon strode in, his suit crisp and his face set in a cool, stern line. As he passed Lion, he gave a respectful nod, and did the same to Stella.
Under everyone’s gaze, he came to a stop right in front of Cassie,
Everyone stood there, left speechless.
Everyone just stared, dumbfounded, their eyes flicking from Jaxon to Cassie, then to Eulalia, and back again.
Again and again, they were totally thrown for a loop.
The whole city had been buzzing for ages about the Knight family and the Porter family’s upcoming engagement.
Everyone thought Jaxon and Eulalia were locked in. Nobody expected Cassie, the real Porter heiress, to suddenly step into the spotlight and flip the whole story on its head.
“Hand,” Jaxon said in a deep, steady voice, pulling a handkerchief from his breast pocket.
Cassie just gave him a rebellious smirk, didn’t even spare him a glance.
“Cookie has nothing to do with her,” Jaxon said, voice firm. Before Cassie could turn away, he grabbed her wrist. His grip was tight, but still gentle.
Cassie shot back, “Oh? Then who’s she connected to?”
‘Bastard!’ Cassie cursed inwardly.

Jaxon held her wrist, slowly and meticulously wiping the blood smeared across her skin, his touch both firm and restrained.
He just stayed silent.
Cassie jerked her hand back, trying to break free.
“Sorry to butt in,” Stella said nonchalantly, lifting her hand in a laid-back gesture.
She got up and took a file folder from Fabian.
Both Jaxon and Cassie turned to Stella as she sauntered over to Eulalia, looking down at her with a hint of regret. “Turns out, Cookie is actually Cassie and Jaxon’s real daughter. So you were lying.”
Eulalia was stunned speechless.
“What did you say?” Cassie froze, staring at Stella, and her mind went blank.
Stella arched an eyebrow. “Didn’t I tell you?”
Cassie was still in a daze. “What are you talking about?”
Stella gave a knowing smirk. “Oh, looks like I forgot to tell you, I took your hair and Cookie’s for a DNA test. Turns out, Cookie really is yours and Jaxon’s daughter.”
Cassie just stood there, totally stunned, unable to say a word.
Eulalia was speechless.
Everyone fell into silence.
Stella raised her hand and handed over the DNA test she’d been holding onto, her eyes locked on Cassie’s shell-shocked face as she flashed a mischievous smile. “Surprise!”
Cassie was so shocked, she couldn’t even get a word out.
‘She did this on purpose! Absolutely on purpose!’ Cassie raged inside, every word pounding in her head. “No way! How is this possible? Cookie can’t be Jaxon’s and hers! I don’t believe it, I just don’t!” Eulalia shook her head over and over, her face alternating between pale and flushed, completely losing it.
“The rest of the mess is yours, Mr. Knight. I’m sure you can handle these people,” Stella drawled, not even glancing at Eulalia. With a look, she signaled for the Shadow Alliance to stay with Cassie.
Hands in her pockets, Stella sauntered toward the door, only pausing briefly as she passed Lion.
“Ms. Carter!” Matthias, who’d been lingering nearby, saw her about to leave and quickly chased after her.
Stella’froze.
Hearing the commotion, Stella finally realized Matthias was still around.
“Matthias Reed,” she said, her tone cool and indifferent.
Matthias didn’t say a word.
After years of everyone calling him “Mr. Reed,” being addressed by his actual name left him momentarily frozen. But he quickly snapped back, a polite smile plastered on his face.
“If this is just about my wife making you mad, Ms. Carter, then I…” Matthias started, but Stella cut him off before he could even finish, clearly not in the mood for his excuses.
Stella said, “Get Allan back here.”
Matthias’s smile froze on his face.
He blinked, thinking he must’ve heard wrong. “What did you say?”
Stella looked at him. “I said, get Allan back here.” Maybe it was how stiff and awkward Matthias looked, but for once, she actually bothered to add, “You want to talk to me? You’re not even in the running.”
Stella’s friends aren’t the kind of people you can push around if you’re a nobody.
Matthias had never been humiliated like this in public before. His face was dark with rage, so mad he could

barely breathe, but he didn’t dare talk back. His expression was twisted, and anyone with eyes could see just how pissed off he was.
Stella couldn’t care less.
Just as she was about to leave, Stella stopped in her tracks, turned calmly, and headed for the pool.
The boy with flashy tattoos on his arms couldn’t dare move.
‘Holy crap!’ The boy with flashy tattoos on his arms freaked out inside.
With a splash, the boy with flashy tattoos on his arms shot back into the water.
The little pink flower straw poking out of the water wobbled.
Stella came to a halt at the edge of the pool, standing her ground.
The pool bubbled and gurgled.
Stella watched the water with a frosty gaze as a dark, inky ring began to spread across the surface.
Everyone in black who saw the whole thing was stunned.
They thought, ‘What the heck is that?’
Stella stood above them, her face perfectly blank as she lazily scanned her black-clad crew. Instantly, the guys in black stepped up, crouched by the pool, and grabbed the pink flower straw poking out of the water.
One second.
Two seconds.
The pool bubbled and gurgled.
Tiny bubbles started to rise to the surface of the water.
Big bubbles started bubbling up to the surface.
The next second, the boy with flashy tattoos, his big arm tattoos all smudged and blurry from the water, suddenly flopped onto the edge of the pool.
The guys in black just stared, totally speechless.
His fierce tiger tattoo had turned into a blurry Hello Kitty mess. He went from looking like a tough guy to a total joke.
Joey hacked, barely able to get the words out.
‘Damn it! Damn it!’ Joey cursed himself.
He was coughing so hard, it felt like his lungs were about to fly out.
A shadow loomed over him.
He raised his head.
Stella was standing over him, that mocking half-smile on her face, eyes cool and nonchalant.
He was shocked.
He cursed inwardly, ‘Damn it!’
‘Nightmare!’ He screamed inside.
Stella raised an eyebrow. “Yeah?”
Joey, totally losing it, blurted out, “Boss!”
Everyone stood there, left speechless.
Stella crouched down like a total boss, arms casually resting on her knees, and gave his arm, now a Picasso- level abstract mess, a lazy once-over. “Pretty artsy, huh?”
Joey, the guy who used to have those wild dreadlocks, was standing there looking all pitiful and miserable, barely daring to make a sound.
