Chapter 457 One Who Can Untie It
“Help! Somebody save me! I’m terrified of dogs! Please, help!” Joey screamed at the top of his lungs.
Joey was flailing his arms so wildly they blurred in the air.
His face contorted with pure terror.
“Woof! Woof! Woof!” The wolfhounds bared their gleaming white fangs, snarling like a beast from hell. If Joey had been even a split second slower, those teeth would’ve been close enough to scrape sparks off him.
A crowd had gathered along the edge of the track, pointing and whispering to each other.
Roy and Noe were among them.
By now, everyone at the training base was buzzing about their week-long bet.
“This is just nonsense!” Noe snapped under his breath, frowning as he watched Joey get chased around the track again and again.
Roy just sneered.
Roy, always full of himself, had never bothered to take this rookie seriously from the very start.
He just strode past them.
Not far away, up in a tree, a girl lounged lazily on a thick branch, completely relaxed as she watched the track.
Her long hair hung all the way down to her waist.
She didn’t move a muscle until someone’s shadow dropped in beside her, breaking her lazy vibe.
“He’s got some real potential,” Sebastian said, his voice low and steady as he glanced at Joey.
He was dressed in a short-sleeved combat uniform, his profile sharp and indifferent.
With his hair slicked back in a classic style, his features stood out even more, giving him a striking, almost intimidating presence. One glance from him could make his men freeze in fear.
“If that kid tries to run tomorrow, just tell your guys to turn a blind eye,” Stella said, sounding totally chill.
Sebastian was confused.
“Oh, and by the way, Big Ben crawled into Allan’s trunk and it’s charging upstairs right now. After training this afternoon, make sure you bring it back to the dorm,” Stella added.
Sebastian nodded.
A moment later, the notary showed up. “Stella?” Sebastian said, his voice husky.
“Hum?” Stella asked.
Sebastian said, “…Hey, don’t get handsy.”
Stella nodded. “Okay.”
She finally let go of his abs after giving them a few playful squeezes.
She looked at him with complete innocence.
Sebastian kept silent.
“By the way,” Stella said, her legs dangling from the branch, “hacking the base’s intranet needs-”
But before she could finish, Sebastian reached over and covered her mouth with his hand.
Sebastian said, “I didn’t hear a thing.”
His expression remained completely blank.
It echoed what Stella once told Vincent on the private jet: “Don’t ask.”
Stella gave him a couple of knowing blinks, as if saying, “Okay! Fine!”
“These are some internal videos from the last few Blaze tournaments. I missed one year, but odds are the

committee’s going to pick a country with a tropical rainforest vibe this time,” Sebastian said.
He passed the USB stick over to Stella, who just arched an eyebrow and took it.
“Got it,” Stella replied.
As she spoke, she swung herself down from the branch.
Sebastian was stunned.
Stella suddenly dropped down from the tree above with a thud.
The guys chilling under the tree nearly jumped out of their skins.
They just gawked at her in shock.
She calmly walked over to Joey, who looked like he was about to drop dead, and let out a sharp whistle.
The wolfhounds that had been chasing him just a second ago instantly tucked their tails between their legs, whining softly, and trotted over to Stella, looking as sweet and obedient as could be.
There wasn’t a trace of their earlier ferocity left.
They were all about the cuddles now.
Just then, Stella’s phone rang. She kept one hand rubbing the dog’s head while she fished out her phone with the other and glanced at the screen.
It was a message from Sebastian.
[Don’t forget to bring the military dogs back to the kennel. The trainer next door is freaking out.]
Stella froze and then glanced down.
Five pairs of wolfhound eyes gazed up at her, adoring and worshipful. Stella absently rubbed their noses.
Stella felt a little sheepish.
‘Alright then,’ he thought.
Joey lay sprawled on the track like a total wreck, eyes squeezed shut, wheezing more out than in, his eyeballs rolling under his lids.
A shadow fell over him.
Joey’s face was drenched in sweat, looking utterly pitiful.
“No… I can’t… I’m gonna puke… Ugh… Boss, I’m really done for!” Joey gasped, his voice trembling.
He was gasping for air, wheezing like he was about to collapse.
“I’m totally useless! You’re just forcing me, rushing everything, and way too desperate for results! I’m gonna report you to the Child Protection Association!” Joey yelled, his voice cracking.
He kept gasping for air and wheezing.
He kept whining like it was a one-man show, but nobody paid him the slightest bit of attention.
Joey was completely at a loss.
He peeked out from under his eyelids.
‘Huh? Where is everybody?’ Joey wondered, confused.
Joey, who’d been whining his heart out just moments ago, shot upright and glanced around. ‘The dogs were gone. Sebastian was gone. Everyone was gone?’ he wondered.
He was frozen, totally spaced out.
“Wait, did I just go full Oscar-worthy with that performance for nothing?’ Joey thought, feeling utterly deflated.
“Pathetic,” sneered a voice nearby.
Suddenly, there was a scoff from the side.
Joey froze for a second. “Who said that?”

A veteran dropped down from the pull-up bar, muscles rippling as he landed. “Me.”
It was Perry, one of Roy’s toughest enforcers. If Noe was the undisputed king of fists, Perry was right behind him. He was hot-headed, always the first to throw down when rookies got rowdy, and he never pulled his punches.
“This training ground isn’t some vacation spot for spoiled rich kids. You’d better-” Perry cracked his knuckles, gave Joey a once-over, then stuck out his thumb in a mocking thumbs-down. “Scram!”
Joey snapped, “I dare you to say that again.”
Perry sneered, “Scram!”
Joey, who’d never been humiliated like this in his life, felt his head explode with anger. Without thinking, he swung a punch straight at Perry.
By the kennel, Stella froze.
She and the trainer, who’d been locked inside the kennel by the military dogs, just exchanged awkward glances, neither of them knowing what to say.
.
The trainer pushed up his glasses. “Could you…?”
Stella raised an eyebrow in confusion.
“Could you open the door for me?” the trainer asked.
Stella froze stiff.
Then she reached out to unlock the door from the outside, but before she could even touch it, the wolfhound beside her was quicker. It pressed its paw against the lock, and with a click, closed the iron gate again.
It tilted his head with a “woof!”
Stella was confused.
So was the trainer.
Stella unlocked the door again.
But the wolfhound promptly locked it again.
Stella unlocked it and the wolfhound locked it right back.
Inside the kennel, the trainer started rubbing his face in frustration. “Steel Egg!”
‘It’s been extra moody these days!’ the trainer thought, completely exasperated.
The wolfhound bared its teeth.
“Woof!” the dog barked, full of attitude.
Stella said, “…It really doesn’t like being called that.”
The trainer grabbed the iron gate with both hands, pressing his nose between the bars.
Stella lazily lifted her hand and pointed at the troublemaker. “Huh? It needs a new name.”
The trainer was stunned, and then whipped his head around, only to find the wolfhound’s eyes instantly sparkled with excitement.
“Woof! Woof! Woof!” it barked.
Stella shot the dog a skeptical look. “You really want that?”
Stella and the dog stared at each other.
The wolfhound barked, “Woof!”
Stella just shrugged, looking like she couldn’t care less. “Apparently, it wants to be called Jason now.”
The trainer just gave her a deadpan stare.
He was so stunned and insulted that his mind went blank for a second.

“Huh! So it wants to be called Jason? Then I guess I’m Statham now!” the trainer scoffed.
Stella didn’t say a word.
She turned to the wolfhound, face expressionless, and spread her hands helplessly. “I did my best, but he doesn’t believe me.”
The wolfhound was enraged.
It bared its teeth.
The dog’s face drooped, and it stomped its back legs in frustration. Then, in the next instant, it lifted its leg with a whoosh.
A perfect arc of pee sailed through the air and nailed the trainer’s pant leg.
The trainer was startled.
“Crap! Trouble!” Suddenly, a rookie burst in, freaking out. “There’s a fight breaking out!”
Stella’s gaze sharpened.
There came a bang.
Perry slammed Joey into the ground with a vicious back throw.
“You can’t even handle my fists, and you think you can take on Noe?” Perry sneered, looming over Joey, whose face was already turning black and blue. He looked down at him like he was garbage. “Go home and drink your milk, kid!”
Perry curled his lip in a cold smirk, while the other veterans just watched with frosty eyes. None of them had a shred of sympathy for Joey, a pampered rich boy obviously dumped here by his family for a few days of play-
acting.
Joey lay face-down in the dirt, battered and miserable, his body coated in dust. His expression was impossible to see.
When Stella walked over, she saw Perry grab his combat jacket and swagger off, looking all cocky.
There was a brief pause.
Joey sensed someone approaching.
He looked up.
All he saw was a pair of slender legs in jeans.
“Get up,” Stella said.
Joey clenched his jaw, his breathing ragged. With a grunt, he forced himself upright. “Did you see that? I’m freaking useless! Doesn’t matter if it’s a week or a year, I’m still hopeless!”
As he spoke, he yanked off his training jacket and slammed it onto the ground.
“I’m done!” Joey yelled, his voice cracking with frustration.
With that, Joey threw down his words and walked away without looking back.
Stella stayed where she was, her gaze cold and Indifferent as she watched Joey’s figure fade into the distance.
The night fell,
Perry had just finished his shower in the communal bathroom, wearing a muscle tee with a towel slung over one shoulder as he headed back to his dorm.
As he passed through a blind spot not covered by any cameras, he suddenly snapped to attention. “Who’s
there?”
Every hair on his body stood on end, a primal warning screaming danger.
The next second, a training jacket dropped from above, draping over Perry’s head and blinding him. Before he

could even react, a fist slammed into his gut. Perry let out a muffled groan, his insides twisting in agony.
“Who are you?” Perry snarled, his voice low and tense.
The attacker stayed silent, not offering a single word, only hammering Perry with punch after punch to the face and gut.
“Who’s there?” one of the night patrol shouted, hurrying over.
Perry, still blinded by the training jacket over his head, suddenly felt his whole body yanked off the ground. He barely had time to react before he crashed down hard with a bone-jarring thud.
It was a back throw.
By the time the patrol arrived, there wasn’t a soul in sight.
It had all happened in less than thirty seconds.
And as for Perry… When the training jacket was finally pulled off his head, the second-toughest guy under Roy was already beaten to a pulp, his face swollen and bruised.
The bruises on his face looked just like the ones he’d given Joey earlier that afternoon, exactly the same.
Sebastian stepped out of the bathroom, wrapped in nothing but a towel, finding himself face-to-face with Stella, who had just climbed in through the window.
Both of them were scared of each other.
He shot a cold glance past Stella, making sure she had not brought anyone with her.
Stella stepped in without missing a beat, closed the window behind her, and just then the phone on the desk rang. Sebastian picked it up, listened, then replied, “No need. It’s just a family call.”
Stella’s eyes drifted to the towel wrapped around Sebastian’s waist.
She seemed to be thinking about something.
Sebastian paused, switched the phone to his other hand, and, expressionless, tightened his grip on the towel at his waist.
Stella was confused.
‘Alright then,’ Sebastian thought.
Sebastian hung up the phone. “Did you just-”
“I didn’t hit anyone,” Stella shot back, quick as a flash.
Sebastian didn’t know what to say.
Stella arched an eyebrow, confused.
The two of them locked eyes.
She only realized it then.
Stella said, “You mean the whole wall-climbing thing?”
Sebastian was silent.
‘Forget it,’ Sebastian thought.
‘It doesn’t matter anymore.’
“I’m going to take a shower!” Before Sebastian could say another word, Stella turned and bolted for the bathroom.
