Chapter 458 Twist of Fate
At that moment, Tallulah was standing outside the door.
She was rocking a long Burberry trench coat, her long hair tucked into a silk scarf, and a pair of sunglasses, giving off that classic chic vibe.
Allan said, “Something you need?”
His voice was icy cold.
“No need to be so frosty, huh?” Tallulah stared him down from behind her shades. “If it weren’t for me and your brother, you wouldn’t have made it this far.”
Allan was utterly confused.
He snorted, a dry chuckle escaping him.
“So I owe you guys a thank you, huh?”
Tallulah paused for a beat. “Want to talk inside?”
Allan shot back, “What’s left to talk about?”
Tallulah shifted her position, making sure the hallway cameras couldn’t catch her face. “Let’s talk about Hendrix’s dying wish.”
Allan shot her a frosty glare.
After a brief pause, he stepped aside and let her in.
The door clicked shut behind them.
Almost at the same time, a paparazzo camped out in the emergency stairwell poked his head out, snapping photos as his camera clicked nonstop.
He checked his shots, a sly grin creeping across his face, when suddenly a large hand landed on his shoulder
out of nowhere.
“Hey, knock it off,” the paparazzo muttered.
The hand didn’t let up, tapping his shoulder again.
“I told you to quit it-” The paparazzo spun around, and in the next instant, there was a sharp crack. His eyes rolled back as he collapsed to the floor.
Halcyon picked up the camera. “Cut it out, my ass!”

“If you’ve got something to say, make it quick,” Allan said inside the suite, leaning back against the bar and deliberately keeping his distance from Tallulah.
Tallulah slipped off her shades with one hand.
Once she was sure they were alone, she suddenly flung open her coat, ripped at the collar of her blouse, and ran her fingers through her hair until it was a mess.
The bruises and marks on her skin looked like she’d set the stage for this moment. Her smile was seductive, but laced with malice, and right in front of Allan’s stunned eyes, she started smacking herself, again and again.
Allan was stunned.
He took a deep breath. “Are you out of your mind?”
“Allan, if I run out right now and scream for help, who do you think everyone’s going to believe?” Tallulah said, her voice cold and absolutely sure of herself.
Her tone was brimming with certainty, as if she already had the outcome locked in.
“So, you’re pulling this stunt again?” Allar shother a foot, Intally bated.

Chapter 458 Twist of Fate
Tallulah gave a lazy smile, settled onto the couch with her legs elegantly crossed, and lit a slim lady’s cigarette. “Back then, Hendrix played favorites. He wanted to hand the entire Reed Group to you before he died. “Matthias is the eldest grandson, so what makes you so special?”
Allan shot back, “So that’s why you made such a scene at his funeral?”
“You really think people couldn’t see through my lousy act back then?” Tallulah exhaled smoke in lazy swirls, her laugh cold. “Everyone just jumped at the chance to kick you out. They’d been waiting for an excuse.”
Hendrix’s favoritism had long stirred up resentment within the family.
But back then, none of them could have imagined that Allan would end up teaming up with Nova Group. Allan stayed silent.
That was why he had cut ties with Jaffina completely. He never went back after that.
Tallulah thought to herself, ‘If it weren’t for Stella, I wouldn’t even bother with this.’
Then she pointed at Allan and said, “You’ve got two choices. Either call the head of Lab 709 and get the Reed Group back in business, or I’ll accuse you of assaulting me. Who knows what kind of storm that’ll kick up for Nova Group?”
Like it or not, you are taking the fall for this. There is no way out.
Allan turned his head, half his face swallowed by shadow. “And if I say no?”
“Before I came, I called a paparazzo and had him on standby to call the police,” Tallulah said, stubbing out her cigarette in the ashtray.
She stood up and strolled toward the door, her tone lazy. “You wouldn’t try to stop me, would you? If you leave any marks on me, it’ll be even harder for you to explain yourself.”
Tallulah flashed a sinister grin.
Allan just watched her coldly as she reached the door and started screaming her lungs out, “Help! Somebody help me! Call the police!”
There came a buzz on the phone.
Soon, the elevator doors slid open.
Police officers stepped out, with several hotel executives trailing behind them. Tallulah’s eyes lit up with hope as she dramatically threw herself at their feet, crying out, “Help!”
Huge, Oscar-worthy tears streamed down her face, making her look absolutely pitiful.
So wrapped up in her own performance, Tallulah didn’t even notice the awkward glances the cops and hotel managers were shooting her way. One of the female officers half-heartedly pulled her to her feet. “Get up first.”, Tallulah sobbed, her eyes brimming with what looked like real fear. She appeared completely panicked. “Mr. Reed, please come with us to the station,” one of the officers said.
The officer glanced at Allan, who was leaning against the door. It seemed like he wanted to say more, but that was all he said.
Allan raised his hands. “Want to slap the cuffs on me?”
He figured the area downstairs was probably crawling with reporters.
The cop waved it off. “Nah, that’s not necessary.”

Downstairs, Tallulah could tell something was seriously off. People were shooting her strange looks, whispering and pointing behind her back. She quickly ducked her head, sniffling as if she was about to break down, but inside, her anxiety was spiraling completely out of control.
“Miss, let me ask you one more time. Are you really sure you want to accuse Mr. Reed of trying something inappropriate with you?”

Chapter 458 Twist of Fate
Just as they were about to step through the revolving doors, the female officer spoke up, her voice gentle but
firm.
Tallulah’s sobs faltered for a moment.
“Officer, do you honestly think I’d make up something like this about myself?” Tallulah snapped, her tone sharp with irritation.
Her voice was tinged with annoyance.
The female officer didn’t say another word. They stepped out through the revolving doors, and in an instant, the paparazzi went wild, shutters snapping everywhere.
The flashbulbs lit up the night like it was broad daylight.
Allan was dressed in nothing but his shirt, that pen still tucked into his breast pocket, his hands in his pockets. There wasn’t a trace of embarrassment on his handsome face as he let them take as many photos as they wanted.
Tallulah, on the other hand, felt her anxiety spike hard. She could practically feel the reporters’ eyes on her, hungry and predatory, like vultures circling a carcass.
She covered her mouth, her sobs growing quieter and quieter.
“Mrs. Reed…”
“They’re out! They’re finally out…”
Reporters shoved and jostled, all scrambling to ask questions and get the first shot. Every camera lens locked onto Tallulah.
“Mrs. Reed, how do you explain trying to set Allan up like this?”
“Was this all Matthias’s idea? Did he tell you to do it?”
