Gold Moon Mated To The Beta Twins (Meadow) novel Chapter 461

Chapter 461 Worry About the Bandits Instead

On both sides, special forces personnel sat facing each other, all suited up in their tactical body armor. Noe and Perry were both present.

Perry had taken a serious beating last night, and his abdomen still ached, but he powered through the pain. Everyone’s eyes were fixed on the imposing, cold man nearby, filled with reverence and awe. He was the god they worshipped.

At that moment, Sebastian’s sharp features were cast in stark light and shadow, his expression all cold edges with not a hint of softness. He lifted his chin slightly, focused as he listened to Eliel’s report.

“There are 27 people in the bank, counting the staff. No kids. And according to the latest from the scene…” Eliel paused, eyes flicking to the tablet in his hand. “The robbers aren’t even bothering with masks.”

At those words, everyone’s faces went cold and tense. ‘If they’re not covering their faces, it means they never intended to let anyone walk out alive.’

There came a buzz on the phone.

Then Eliel’s phone chimed. He glanced at the message. “Mr. Gray, we just got the latest footage from up ahead.”

He quickly opened the cloud drive and hit play.

The silence lasted for a while.

“Hey, do you think that guy looks familiar?” Vincent finally blurted out after hesitating.

Everyone just froze.

Eliel was confused.

On the screen, behind some leafy cover, a blurry girl’s figure appeared, and she was icy, almost devil-may-care, and snatched the gun right out of the bandit’s hand.

Without missing a beat, she aimed and shot the security camera. The feed instantly went static, nothing but

snow on the screen.

Sebastian only watched her back. Eliel was confused.

Vincent suddenly blurted out, “Isn’t that Stella-”

Before he could finish, Eliel, with a deadpan look, slapped a hand over his mouth. “Shut up!”

‘Dumbass!’ Eliel grumbled inwardly.

Noe glanced over, noticing an eerie quiet settling over Sebastian’s side.

“Are the robbers really that tricky this time?” Perry asked curiously from nearby.

Noe stayed quiet.

Vincent’s eyes went wide as he pried Eliel’s hand off his mouth. “Right now? Why is Stella here? And wait, that guy next to her…”

He gripped the tablet with both hands, then realized the man standing next to Stella was just frozen like a statue, and it was Joey,

Vincent was confused, and he scratched his head.

“No way, something’s not about to go down, right?” Vincent muttered.

Vincent shot Sebastian a questioning look and asked, “Is something about to go wrong?”

Sebastian just kept silent.

Eliel, who’d been tense ever since the news broke, gave a sarcastic laugh. “Honestly, you should be worrying about the bandits instead!”

Outside the bank, the command vehicle and special forces trucks were stationed.

Police tape was strung up everywhere, marking off the scene.

The crowd was so massive that they had no choice but to call for backup from other districts.

The police were on high alert and could only watch as, after a gunshot echoed out, the rolling shutter slammed down from inside the bank.

“Where’s the thermal imager?” the commander barked.

“Report! There seems to be some kind of signal blocker inside, and the thermal imager’s not working!”

Everyone was losing their minds.

From their vantage points above, the snipers were locked and loaded, but with no one in their sights, even the best sharpshooters couldn’t do a thing. All they could do was wait for something to happen.

There came a bang.

Suddenly, a huge crash boomed from inside the bank.

Everyone turned on reflex, eyes snapping toward where the sound came from.

There came a bang.

Everyone stood there, left speechless.

If they weren’t imagining things, there was now a human-shaped dent in the tightly shut rolling shutter.

Those bank shutters were made of top-grade security material, and now there was a person-shaped imprint smashed into them from the inside.

It looked exactly like someone had been kicked so hard from inside that they left a full-body mark on the door.

Then came a strange thud again from inside.

Everyone stared in dumbfounded disbelief.

‘What the hell is going on in there?’ they thought.

‘Bang-clatter-are they seriously fighting for their lives in there or what?’

Everyone stood there, lost in thought.

Realizing what was happening, everyone was on the edge of their seats, hearts practically in their throats.

Screeching brakes cut through the tension.

The chief, looking like he’d just spotted a savior, whipped his head around to see Sebastian stepping out of the car. “Sebastian, hurry!”

He practically sprinted over, still clutching his walkie-talkie.

“We have no idea what’s going on in there, and the thermal imager-” he shouted.

Sebastian cut him off. “Hold on.”

Seeing the chief getting more and more agitated, Sebastian didn’t even bother explaining. He just pulled out his phone and dialed a number right there in front of everyone.

Chief was just stunned into silence.

‘Everything’s on fire right now!’ he thought.

‘And he’s over there making a phone call!’

There came the sound “Ring… ring… ring…”

The call connected almost instantly, and an icy girl’s voice came through. “Mm?”

Sebastian glanced up at the human-shaped dent in the rolling shutter. “Open the door.”

The chief could only blink, dumbfounded.

While the chief struggled to process this, he heard the girl on the phone reply with a bored “oh,” accompanied

by the sound of banging and crashing in the background.

The chief looked up in silence, staring at the tightly shut bank entrance.

Was it just his imagination, or did the noises on the phone match up perfectly with the sounds coming from inside the bank?

The chief was just stunned.

“Have the snipers stand down,” Sebastian said, his voice icy as he kept the phone to his ear and turned to the chief. “Get the medics ready to go in.”

The chief nodded blankly, still in a daze.

Meanwhile, Noe and the rest of Sebastian’s team just looked at each other, puzzled as to why they still hadn’t been told to gear up.

While everyone was still busy wondering what the hell was going on, a loud rattling noise suddenly came from the direction of the bank.

Before anyone could even process it, the rolling shutter, locked up tight just moments ago, was being pulled open from the inside.

The person doing it moved stiffly and awkwardly, like a robot.
