Gold Moon Mated To The Beta Twins (Meadow) novel Chapter 480

Chapter 480 Sebastian Is Even Angrier Now

Stella really was nearby.

When she looked up and saw Thalassa’s signal flare shoot up into the night sky, a faint, warm smile appeared on the blood-splattered beauty’s face under the moonlight.

At that moment, the giant Andi, all battered and bruised, crawled over, trying to snuggle up to her for comfort, looking totally pitiful.

Stella shot a cold glance past Andi to the people behind it. “Take them back to Nia.”

The giant Andi nodded eagerly.

Then, as if it suddenly remembered something, it lifted the tip of its jet-black tail and pointed it off into the woods.

That’s where the water source is.

“Got it,” Stella replied, her long lashes lowering as she slowly wound the silver thread back up. Sebastian had already slipped up beside her without a sound. The giant Andi, who had been cozying up to Stella, suddenly shivered.

Andi turned its head.

And locked eyes with a pair of chilling, icy eyes.

Whoosh! The giant Andi immediately straightened its massive head, almost ready to salute with the tip of its

tail.

“Sebastian, let’s go,” Stella said, unaware of the scene behind her. She gazed into the depths of the dark forest, where the place everyone was after waited, the secret Monterra research lab.

“Mm,” Sebastian replied again.

He pulled his gaze away, falling in step beside Stella, playing the part of the dutiful companion.

Only after the two had completely disappeared into the night did the giant Andi finally let itself relax, its massive head drooping.

Andi thought, ‘I seriously thought I was about to die!

‘Ugh, what did I ever do to deserve this?’

Deep in the jungle, the further they ventured, the thicker the hot, humid air became.

The ground was strewn with skeletal remains, some sprouting moss and tangled in climbing vines, where vivid, exotic flowers bloomed.

Rustle emerged in the darkness. Only the faint rustling of plants could be heard, and there wasn’t even a single insect chirping.

Suddenly, Sebastian stopped in his tracks, his face blank as he watched a soft vine just ahead dragging the corpse of a Rurikstan soldier by the ankle.

Sebastian and the soft vine were left in awkward silence,

Stella, true to her “if I don’t see it, it doesn’t exist” philosophy, just calmly stepped right over the vine without missing a beat.

Sebastian followed right behind her.

The deeper they went, the longer, willow-like vines dangled overhead. At first, they swayed on their own, almost as if beckoning them forward.

But the instant they got a good look at Stella’s face, every single vine snapped upright at once, clearing the main path for her.

Sebastian was speechless.

‘Total brown-nosers!’ he thought.

Stella raised an eyebrow. ‘Looks like they still remember me, she thought.

She stopped in her tracks.

The vines, which had just started to relax when they thought the two were leaving, suddenly bristled like a cat with its fur on end. They froze, refusing to budge unless Stella did.

“Have you seen anyone wearing clothes like mine?” Stella drawled, her eyes lifting, tinged with red at the corners, a mischievous little smile playing on her lips.

The vines were stunned.

Whoosh! All at once, every vine pointed in the same direction.

They quivered nervously.

“You sure about that? If you’re lying to me, I’ll be seriously pissed,” Stella teased.

The vines were even more panicked.

Whoosh! Hearing that, the vines immediately spun around and pointed in the other direction, without any hesitation at all.

Sebastian was left speechless.

“That way,” Stella said, tilting her chin toward where the vines had pointed the second time. She was actually pretty curious to see who they’d bump into first. After all, that path led straight into that group’s territory. The two of them strolled forward at a leisurely pace.

Out of nowhere, Stella held out her hand toward Sebastian. “Sebastian.”

Under the moonlight, her palm faced upward.

A piece of chocolate sat quietly in her palm.

Sebastian’s eyes flickered. “I-”

Just as Sebastian was about to take it, a sudden scream shattered the silence.

Two figures bolted between them like lightning, and in the chaos, the chocolate tumbled to the ground with a splat. Only to get stomped on by the two desperate escapees.

Sebastian was angry.

‘They’re so dead!’ Sebastian thought.

Two minutes later, Joey and Perry were squatting on the ground, clutching their faces, while on the other side, seven or eight giant crocodiles, now missing a few teeth, were lying there, sniffling and terrified, staring at Sebastian.

Sebastian, meanwhile, was giving the squashed, ruined chocolate in his palm a death glare.

He was even angrier now.

The next second, Sebastian clenched his fist and stormed over to the crocodiles again.

Time for another round of crocodile smackdown.

Another minute ticked by.

Joey and Perry were completely at a loss.

They clutched their bruised, swollen faces, not even daring to breathe, just staring as Stella gave Sebastian a teasing little smile and tried to calm him down.

Off to the side, the crocodiles had lost every last tooth. Their jaws were open, looking exactly like a bunch of toothless grannies gumming the air.

The crocodiles whined.

They thought, ‘Those humans totally bullied us!

‘Crocodiles are the good guys, humans are the worst!’

“Just the two of you?” Stella asked, her hand gently stroking the back of Sebastian’s neck as she glanced over at Joey and Perry.

Joey nodded like a bobblehead. “But I left a signal on a tree for everyone to meet up!”

Perry didn’t even dare to breathe.

Stella nodded lazily, then turned to Sebastian. “Don’t be mad.”

Sebastian turned his head to look at Joey and Perry.

It gave people the creeps.

“Oh, Boss!” Joey blurted out, snapping his head up. “It’s a trap! Perry and I just overheard that all the researchers in the lab are already dead. The Monterra crew isn’t after survivors. They’re after the research data those scientists left behind!”

He was sweating bullets, his eyes wide with panic.

Stella nodded. “Okay.”

Stella was calm.

Joey and Perry were completely speechless.

They thought, ‘Wait, that’s it?’

“Boss, seriously, that’s all you’ve got?” Joey swallowed hard. ‘Man, now I just look like a total idiot for freaking out earlier,’ he thought.

Stella looked thoughtful. “You’re sitting on a skull.”

She gave him a friendly heads-up.
