“Are you intentionally avoiding me?”

My question was direct without any metaphor.

Logan raised his eyes from the book he was reading and took off his reading glasses. He looked very handsome with his glasses.

“No, I am not.” Came his instant response.

“But I feel like you are avoiding me.” I stood my ground and raised a brow at him.

I felt annoyed by his bipolar behaviour.

I walked upto him and closed his book. Snatching it out of his hands, I placed it on the night stand. His

full attention was on me now.

“I had enough of your tantrums, Logan Wilferd. When I am talking to you means you must listen to me and answer my damm question.” I was completely annoyed by his lack of response.

Or should I say that his ignorance was bothering me.

“I was trying to read, Tessa but if you want to talk, then let’s talk in my way.” He finally spoke.

I frowned in confusion but my eyes literally popped out of their sockets when he pulled me on his lap and wrapped his hands around my waist tightly.

“Let’s talk now.”

Our faces were only inches apart.

“Logan, I am trying to talk here so don’t you dare to try something else to distract me.” I warned him.

“I like this side of yours. I am surprised.” He said with an amused smile.

“You know what?” I took a deep breath as I was really annoyed at this point, “I am going to my room. Once your mind is off from these tactics then come to me in the morning.” I tried to get up from his lap but he plopped me on the bed and hovered over me.

“Logan!” I exclaimed and punched his chest with my fists but it didn’t bother him.

He was a man with strong built.

“I wasn’t avoiding you but reflecting on my own weaknesses, Tessa.” He spoke.

I stopped resisting and looked at him.

“Your weaknesses?”

“Yes, today I met Raelynn who happened to be at the same place. I am sure Lucas has already filled you.” He spoke in a serious voice.

“Yes, and I also know what shit she spatted about me.” I lowered my gaze.

“I told her to go because I want to do it in a proper way not in a public place where I have so much to lose.” He told me.

“You did the right thing. It was unnecessary to create scene where we’re at loss.” I said and paused, “And what she said about me and Adrian, it’s baseless. I never had romantic feelings for him.”

“I know, you don’t need to explain anything to me.” He said touching my face and I leaned into his touch.

“Raelynn will be estranged. I don’t care how will you explain this to Raelynn but I don’t want her to come near Lena. I can’t trust her around my daughter.” I said.

“Tessa, you’re overthinking. No one will hurt our daughter. That’s my promise to you.” He kissed my

forehead.

I knew his love for Lena and Lucas was unconditional and he’d do everything to protect them.

But I wish I could tell him that Raelynn was a mentally sick person but he’d not believe me and would think that I was driven by jealousy.

My thoughts came to an abrupt halt when his lips traced my shoulder base. A shiver run down my body. I gripped his shirt to balance my body but when his hands slipped under my top and traced my bare skin,

“Logan…” I breathed out his name.

“Yes?” He lifted his face to look at me.
