Goodbye, Mr. Ex-Husband, I Won't Come Back novel Chapter 133

Logan

My gaze shifted from Raelynn to her father whose face turned ghostly white.

“Logan, I swear he must be behind your daughter’s kidnapping. He can do anything.” Raelynn pointed her finger at her father.

I didn’t believe any of them but when I thought deeper, I felt that he could actually do it.

He had links with people in illegal business that’s why I pulled my shares and my financial aids from his business a long time ago.

“Raelynn, have you lost your mind? You’re framing your own father.” He yelled and charged towards his father but I came between them.

“Is it true?” I gritted my teeth and glared him hard.

“No, absolutely not! She has lost her mind. Why would I hurt a baby and even if I had planned to hurt her, I would have killed her as soon as I lay my hands on her.” He yelled and it was the last straw of my patience.

I grabbed his collar and punched his face. I forgot that he was older than me. He dared to use such strong and wicked words for my child.

“How dare you? Say it again and I will make sure that you won’t speak again.” I yelled and landed more punches.

My anger was reaching to its exploding point.

“Logan, he..he..planned the kidnapping. He is behind everything. He threatened me and my daughter to keep our mouth shut.” Susan hid behind Raelynn and pointed her finger accusingly at her own husband.

They were a bunch of crooked and I wasn’t going to spare them.

“The police are coming. You are over.” I jerked him on the floor.

His nose was bleeding. I beat him badly but I had no remorse because he dared to speak ill about my daughter.

“You will..regret..it.” He said before passing out.

“Logan, please, spare us. We are innocent. I swear I and my daughter have nothing to do in his plans. Raelynn loves you but she can never use a small baby to win you.” Susan begged me.

I had already texted my security team to call police. I wasn’t going to spare them easily.

“Pray that you are actually innocent because everyone who wants to hurt my family is an enemy.” With my last warning, I left their house.

My life had become a complete mess. It had been almost twenty-four hours since Tessa left me. I lost my family.

As much as I was heartbroken and in great pain, I felt angry too.

I was angry on Tessa. She acted irrational. We had a little misunderstanding. We could sort it but she chose to escape this rough patch. She didn’t even care about my feelings even for once.

She took Lucas with her. She knew I’d be totally devastated without my children.

I was all alone. The feeling was too heavy to ignore. I used all my connections and resources to track them down but she left no trace behind her. She also resigned from Adrian’s company.

I parked my car in the middle of nowhere. I didn’t want to go back to the house where I’d be haunted by their memories.

Staring at their picture, my life, all the memories reeled like a film. It felt like it was a bubble of my dreams and now, I was living in a nightmare.

However, I knew this time I had to go beyond my capabilities to find them and I won’t rest until I track them down and bring them back home.

Theresa Vance, you couldn’t hide from me forever.

I reignited the engine and drove to my parents’ house. I knew it’d be a tough meeting. My mother would go ballistic for sure.

The air was heavy with tension at their house when I entered in the living room. My father was sitting alone on the sofa with a cup of coffee.

“You know caffeine isn’t good for you.” I reminded him.

“It’s not more harmful than the stress that I am feeling right now.” He said with a shake of his head.

I sat down beside him.

“Do you want to have some?” He asked but I refused with a nod.

There was a heavy silence between us.

“You might not forgive me when I tell you something. It’s weighing on my heart.” He spoke and gained my attention.

“What is it, Dad?” I asked, my heart was sinking anticipating something terrible.

“Tessa called me to tell me about her decision of leaving you because she had given up. You weren’t ready to end things with Raelynn. You never made the attempt. And…” He paused and looked at me with guilt in his old eyes.

“I gave her my permission. She deserves to live her life on her own terms.”
