Only I knew how I had spent the night. The excitement and impatience to meet Tessa again didn’t let me sleep peacefully. I was also curious to know what Tessa knew about Raelynn’s personal life.

Raelynn had a lover while she was trying to reconcile with me?

The thought infuriated me but I had to listen to Tessa first.

I pulled the car on the address that she mailed me. I still hadn’t her contact details for a direct correspondence. So, I stepped out of the car and looked at the two-storey building in front of me. It had Tessa’s brand named.

She named it after her mother.

‘Fiona’

I entered the building and walked to the receptionist.

“I want to meet the boss, Theresa Vance. Tell her that Logan Wilferd is here.” I told her.

“Yes, Sir. I have advance information from Ms. Vance. Please take the stairs and go to the third room on the first floor, it’s Ms. Vance’s office. She is waiting for you.” The girl replied.

“Thank you. I will find my way.” I said and took the stairs. I admired the photographs of Tessa and her team receiving awards, meeting famous people and the piece of her works displayed on the walls.

She had achieved her dreams and I was happy for her.

I received many curious stares from the employees but they didn’t dare to question me. I was a foreigner to them who walked into their workplace.

I knocked the third door and heard a faint ‘come in’ from inside. twisting the knob, I slowly pushed the door and slipped into the spacious room which was filled with scraps, some ready, some unfinished designs. There were fabrics, supplies all over the floor and the owner was frowning at a sketch.

Her hairs were tied using a pencil. She looked cute.

“Good afternoon, Boss.” I greeted her and she flinched.

“Logan, you scared me.” She placed her hand on her heart.

“Sorry, if I disturbed you in the middle of something important.” I apologized but she shook her head.

“No, it’s fine. This is every day job and I am sorry for the mess. I know my office should be organized but I often work here on designs and its kind of messy. I have a separate meeting room for clients.” She said with a hint of embarrassment in her tone.

“Hey, I am not judging you. Your work line is all about creativity and art and this mess shows how

dedicated you are for your business.” I complimented her and a blush crept on her cheeks.

“Please, give me five minutes. I will fresh up and then we’ll go to the café.” She said and about to leave but I caught hold of her wrist.

“We can talk here. I want to know and see more of your professional side, Tessa.” I expressed my wish and her eyes went to my hand.

I instantly released her wrist.

“I am sorry.” I apologized quickly because I didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable around me.

“Okay, if you are fine here in this mess. Please, take a seat on the recliner while I order coffee for us.” She said and ordered over intercom for two cups of coffee.

“Do you want to expand your business?” I asked.

“Yes, I do but for that I need a huge capital and taking a loan when my company is thriving in early phase, I don’t think it’d be an ideal decision to go for a loan. Besides, the kids need me in their growing phase so I want to balance my time between work and kids.” She responded.

My heart swelled with pride.

Despite seeing potential success, she still chose to prioritize our kids. She was one of the rarest gems.

“I can help you, Tessa and please don’t think that I am trying to pity you or winning you. I really want your clothing brand to become a big name in near future because you have the talent.” I proposed but I knew she’d not accept any help from me.

“I am happy with my current growth.” She smiled but didn’t reject me directly.

Meanwhile, the coffee arrived.

“Tessa, what do you want to tell me about Raelynn?” I initiated the conversation that had been pending since last night.

Her expressions turned grim.

“I wonder why Felix never mentioned this to you.” She said.

“Felix also knew?” I frowned.

“Yes, both Felix and Adrian. We wanted to expose Raelynn but then Lena got kidnapped and rest is the history.” She said.

“I understand.”

There was a moment of silence between us. I waited for her to speak.

“Riccardo Manchini, the mysterious Italian man who runs a mafia cartel, was dating Raelynn. She never met an accident. For three years when you were desperately trying to search her, she was enjoying a
