Taken care of you. Then that kid she’s carrying–the one that’s not Arthur’s–would’ve been a Myers too. Smooth as anything. Think about it.”

Jenarth’s lips parted. His mind was static.

The baby. His mother’s baby. He didn’t know whose it was. He’d tried to ask, but she’d shut him down every time.

That child was supposed to be a Myers.
