Chloe stared back at him, her eyes cold and unyielding.

“I know how you are about that sort of thing. Cleanliness, purity, all of it.” Vincent’s voice dropped to a murmur as he leaned in, inhaling slowly near her hair. “If that man sleeps with Jennifer, you won’t want him anymore. Isn’t that right, my dear Clo-Clo?”

Chloe’s laugh was sharp, humorless. “The man I chose? He’d never touch her. She won’t complete this mission. Ever.”

That was final. No room for doubt.

Jennifer couldn’t hold back. “Chloe, just wait.” Her voice dripped with smug anticipation. “I will complete Master’s order. I will get that man. And it won’t be just once-I’ll do it again and again. All night long if I have to.” She laughed, ugly and triumphant. “I’ll record every second. Send it to you personally. You can watch while I take apart the man you’re so proud of.”

Chloe laughed right back at her.

“You won’t even get the chance.” She looked Jennifer up and down, eyebrow raised. “I told you— the man I chose won’t touch you. And right now? You look absolutely pathetic.”

Jennifer’s smile twisted. On a face identical to Chloe’s, it looked grotesque.

“We’ll see how calm you are when you’re watching that video.” Jennifer turned to Vincent, her voice shifting to something fawning. “Master, I won’t let you down. You gave me this life. I’ll make you proud.”

“Go.” Vincent waved a hand dismissively. “Figure it out yourself. Fail, and consequences. No more chances.”

Jennifer nodded, bowed deeply to Vincent, shot Chloe one last venomous look, and walked out -still wearing Chloe’s clothes.

The moment she was gone, Chloe spoke calmly. “She thinks he won’t spot her in three seconds looking like that? You actually believe she can fool him?”

“I never said she’d go back like this.” Vincent’s lips curved. “She’ll have her methods. That man’s not exactly ordinary-richest man in the world, after all.” He clicked his tongue appreciatively. “You’ve got good taste, Clo-Clo. Shame you’ll be staying here at Silverash. With me. Nowhere else.”

“Don’t be so sure.” Chloe’s voice stayed flat. “You can keep my body here. You’ll never keep my

heart.”

Chapter 525 A Deadly Gamble

Vincent’s expression flickered-annoyance, maybe something darker.

“And I already told you.” Chloe shrugged. “You can’t break the man I chose. Not with tricks, not with schemes. Everyone can play dirty. But if he’s stupid enough to think Jennifer is me? I won’t need you to do anything. I’ll kill him myself.”

Something shifted in Vincent’s face at her calm certainty. His eyes dropped to the marks on her neck again, and his breathing went uneven.

“You know…” His voice went quiet. “Giving him a woman feels like a waste. Maybe I should just kill him instead. That man-he gets under my skin. Arthur married you, and I let it slide. But this one? Every time I think about him, I want him dead. Completely dead.” His gaze lifted to hers. “So. How should I do it?”

He didn’t get to finish. Chloe moved. Her hand shot out, fast and lethal. Vincent jerked back just in time, avoiding the strike by inches.

She didn’t stop. A blade appeared in her hand-sharp, deadly-and she lunged, aiming straight for his heart. Strike after strike, each one meant to kill. Vincent stumbled backward, barely keeping up.

He was breathing hard, but there was something wild in his eyes. Excitement.

“You haven’t lost a step,” he gasped out. “After all these years… Keep going.”

He was insane. Completely insane. He actually rushed toward her blade this time. Chloe adjusted mid-strike, aiming for his throat now.

If it connected, he’d be dead before he hit the ground.

Vincent watched the knife come at him—and didn’t move. His eyes stayed locked on hers, searching. Waiting. Hoping she’d remember. Remember the past. Remember everything he’d done for her. Hoping she’d stop in time.
