He Cheated I Rose Making Him Regret Everything (Chloe and Arthur) novel Chapter 656

Eugene moved to stand beside Chloe. He glanced at her, offering a faint, reassuring smile, before turning his attention to Carolyn.

"Carolyn, let Robert go. Turn back now before it's too late. I can still promise you'll walk out of here alive," Eugene said, his tone leaving no room for negotiation.

Carolyn burst into laughter. "You've got some nerve, Eugene. Who do you think you are, talking to me like that? What gives you the right to act so high and mighty right now?

"Chloe, Eugene—you two have always had it too good. Everything just falls into your laps. Well, today I'm going to make sure you're crushed under my heel." Carolyn tightened her grip on the remote in her hand. "All it takes is one press, and that little brat is gone for good."

Hearing her words, Eugene's eyes darted toward Robert. The boy was suspended mid-air, more than thirty feet away. From that height, a fall would be fatal—no doubt about it.

Eugene quickly measured the distance. It was too far, too high. He had to find a way to get Robert down safely.

Noticing Eugene's focus, Carolyn let out a derisive chuckle. "Don't even think about it. None of you is leaving this place alive today," she declared before breaking into wild, hysterical laughter.

Chloe's expression hardened.

Just then, two more figures emerged from the shadows. Dressed in worn leather jackets and ragged jeans, they had the look of men who lived outside the law—desperate, with nothing left to lose.

They strode up behind Carolyn. One leaned in and muttered something into her ear. After listening, Carolyn's face lit up with even more satisfaction.

"Good. Very good. You boys didn't let me down," she purred. Reaching out, she tilted the man's chin up and smiled provocatively. Seizing the invitation, he moved in closer, his hands roaming freely over her body.

Not wanting to be left out, the other man stepped forward, wrapping his arms around Carolyn from behind and pressing rough kisses—more like bites—into her neck.

Over by Robert, the black-toothed man who'd been holding the chain immediately dropped it and scurried over eagerly. "Hey, save some for me, will ya?"

He grabbed Carolyn's hand and planted a sloppy kiss on it, breathing heavily.

Rather than scolding them, Carolyn seemed to relish the attention. "That's right... you're all mine," she said smugly, allowing their groping to continue. Had the setting been less grim, they might have taken things even further right there on the ground.
