He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 30

Helena collapsed against the wall, gasping desperately for air.

It took a long time before her lungs finally stopped burning.

Frowning, Sebastian took a reflexive step toward her.

He knew he had lost complete control of himself just now.

But if she hadn't pushed him to the absolute brink, he never would have snapped.

*Smack!* Before he could even get close, she unleashed another brutal slap across his face.

His head whipped to the side, the flesh of his cheek stinging sharply.

"Seven years of marriage, and this is what you think of me?" Her voice was entirely hollowed out by despair.

He stared at her with a heavy, somber gaze.

The darkening, bruised handprint was vividly stark against his pale skin.

It was obvious just how much force she had put into the blow.

"Don't worry. I already told you I'm leaving with nothing. I don't want a single dime of the Hayes fortune," she reiterated, making her stance perfectly clear.

"I've always known exactly what Grandpa's will stated. I've already signed the divorce papers; all you have to do is sign your name. I no longer want the title of Mrs. Hayes."

"On the exact day of our seven-year anniversary, after you secure your inheritance, we will go straight to the courthouse and make it official. And then we are done with each other."

"Helena, you—"

"You're filthy, Sebastian. But don't assume everyone else is as morally bankrupt as you are."

She screamed the words right at him.

Pointing fiercely at the front door, she showed him absolutely zero mercy. "Get out! Get out of my sight, and don't ever come back! We are completely done."

Every word dripped with agonizing clarity and devastation.

Sebastian remained perfectly still.

He just stood there, watching her break down.

Unable to bear his stoic gaze for another second, she lunged forward, wildly pounding her fists against his chest.

"Get out! Please, I'm begging you, just leave!"
