Hearing the commotion from upstairs, Janetta hurried down to the foyer.
"What's going on?!" she asked, faking an anxious tone.
But her worry was entirely for show.
A sickening, gloating smirk danced in her eyes as she stared directly at Helena.
Yet, when she spoke, she sounded like the picture of gentle concern.
She tried to soothe Helena with sickeningly sweet words.
"Helena, please don't panic. If something's wrong, just tell us."
"If you run out like this, Seb will be furious. He'll just punish you again. Why do this to yourself?"
"Just calm down first, okay?"
Her voice was soft, perfectly level, and infuriatingly patient.
Helena ignored her completely.
But she couldn't break free from the bodyguard's iron grip.
The desperation in her eyes was turning into madness.
Janetta stood perfectly still, watching her squirm.
Whether fueled by sheer adrenaline or maternal desperation, Helena somehow managed to wrench herself out of the man's grasp.
"Ms. Wallace!" the guard yelled.
But this time, it was Janetta who stepped into her path, blocking the exit.
They were standing chest to chest.
Leaning in, Janetta whispered directly into Helena's ear, making sure no one else could hear.
"Are you trying to go see Wynn?" she asked, a malicious smile twisting her lips.
Helena froze, her head snapping up to glare at her.
Before she could even ask a question, Janetta delivered the fatal blow.
Her words were dripping with venomous cruelty.
"Even if you go now, it's too late. He's beyond saving."
Every word was meticulously articulated, piercing straight through Helena's eardrums.
In an instant, everything clicked into place.
She stared at Janetta with wide, horrified eyes.
That dark, psychotic smirk never left Janetta's face.
Every word was a blatant provocation.
She was practically begging Helena to attack her.
Helena knew it.
But under the crushing weight of her brother's impending death, she simply couldn't control herself.
The thought of Wynn dying alone tore her apart.
"You still want to see him one last time? Let me tell you right now—it's never going to happen."
"He'll never see his favorite sister before he dies. He's going to die completely alone."
"Oh, and I heard he went completely crazy. Smashing his head into the walls until he was covered in blood."
"He has a heart condition and asthma, right? That suffocating feeling of not being able to breathe... that must be pure agony."
Janetta happily recounted every gruesome detail of Wynn's final moments.
She described his horrific suffering without a single trace of empathy.
It was as if she were watching an ant being crushed under a boot.
"You're a monster!" Helena shrieked.
