He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 335

Sebastian's eyes darkened, making it impossible to read what was going through his mind.

After a long silence, it was Sebastian who finally spoke, looking squarely at the doctor.

The doctor knew exactly what he was silently asking. "Mr. Hayes, my recommendation hasn't changed. The safest route is to keep her pregnant for another two to three weeks."

His gaze was completely devoid of any lightheartedness.

"That's exactly why I suggest letting her see the person she's asking for—whether he's dead or alive. At the very least, seeing him will give her closure and stabilize her emotions," the doctor said plainly.

"Understood," Sebastian replied.

He lowered his eyes, clearly deep in thought.

"Additionally, I must ask you to keep a very close watch on the patient in the coming days. As you've seen, when you're not around, there is absolutely no one else who can control her emotional state," the doctor concluded succinctly.

The core of Helena's instability was Sebastian.

They were inextricably tangled together, neither willing to let the other go.

Only they had the power to pull each other back from the brink.

"You can't let her lose all hope. Once the despair sets in, she won't care what happens to her or the baby," the doctor added, offering a slight nod before walking away.

Sebastian stood there with his hands clasped behind his back.

He remained perfectly still for a long time.

It wasn't until Carter hurried back over that he finally moved.

"Speak," Sebastian commanded tersely.

"Mr. Hayes, Wynn didn't make it. He flatlined. He's only being kept alive by the machines right now, meaning he's completely brain-dead. The second we pull the plug, he's gone," Carter explained the grim reality.

Sebastian listened, his hands tightening into fists inside his pockets.

He turned to Carter, his face an emotionless mask. "Make the preparations. Let Helena see him one last time. After that, deal with him."

Carter froze for a second before realizing exactly what his boss meant.

Wynn was dead.

But until Helena saw him with her own eyes, he had to appear alive.

He only needed to be 'alive' long enough to convince her.

Once Helena believed it, Wynn's body could finally be disposed of.

"Understood," Carter quickly agreed.

Without another word, he turned to leave.

Just as Carter's hand touched the doorknob, Sebastian called out.
