He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 344

He stubbed out his cigarette and finally walked into the house with slow, measured steps.

Helena was clearing the dishes.

She was used to doing a lot of things herself.

"Where are the maids?" Sebastian asked, his voice low as his brows furrowed.

Helena jumped at the sudden sound of his voice.

She instinctively spun around to find Sebastian standing right behind her.

She was genuinely surprised.

She hadn't expected him to come back tonight.

She had assumed he would stay at the hospital to keep Janetta company.

But Helena quickly figured it out.

Sebastian was probably just back to keep an eye on her, to make sure nothing went wrong with the baby she was carrying.

With that thought in mind, she felt perfectly calm.

"I told them to get some rest," she replied flatly.

Quickly setting the dishes aside, she gave Sebastian a brief nod.

Then, she turned on her heel and walked up the stairs toward the second floor without looking back.

Sebastian didn't say a word, simply following behind her.

Helena didn't speak either.

But she couldn't figure out what he was planning, and her brows knitted together slightly.

It wasn't until Sebastian followed her right into the master bedroom that she began to lose her cool.

Her hand hovered protectively over her belly, her nerves instantly on edge.

Because she had no idea what Sebastian wanted to do to her.

Sebastian, on the other hand, saw right through her panic.

His voice was completely nonchalant. "This is my room. If I don't come here, where exactly am I supposed to go?"

Helena felt like she'd been slapped with the words.

She wanted to retort that he could go find Janetta.

But she swallowed the words before they could leave her tongue.

She didn't have the energy or the strength to argue with him.

Every time they argued, she was the one who ended up suffering.

Helena had no desire to bring more trouble upon herself.

So she just looked at him quietly. "I'll pack my things and move to the guest room."

The moment the words left her mouth, she actually turned around to start gathering her belongings.
