Carter Miles saw Sebastian Hayes and walked right up to him.
"Mr. Hayes, the young master and Skye are already in the suite. Here is the key card." Carter delivered the message with practiced respect.
Then, Carter turned to Helena, his demeanor remaining perfectly calm. "Ms. Wallace, hello."
Helena gave a brief nod, not saying much.
She was the type to focus on the issue, not the person, so there was no point in losing her temper with Carter.
Carter smartly excused himself immediately to avoid getting caught in the crossfire.
Sebastian didn't say much; he calmly took the key card and simply said, "Let's go."
The moment the words left his mouth, he naturally reached out and intertwined his fingers with Helena's.
Without a second thought, Helena tried to yank her hand away.
But Sebastian was faster, pulling her right into the elevator with him.
"Don't move while we're in the elevator," Sebastian said unhurriedly. "This hotel has been around for a while. If you struggle too much, who knows if the elevator might start shaking."
Helena was completely speechless.
In short, whatever she feared most, Sebastian would use it against her.
She bit her tongue and stayed quiet.
Suddenly, she felt a pang of nostalgia for the old Sebastian—the one who would completely ignore her existence.
At the very least, they never had any conflicts back then.
Thinking of this, her racing heart gradually calmed down.
Seeing her finally settle, Sebastian didn't add anything else.
He kept a firm grip on her hand until the elevator chimed and came to a halt at the penthouse suite.
As soon as the doors parted, Helena marched toward the suite without a single backward glance.
Sebastian followed calmly behind her.
When Helena walked in, she saw Kyle and Skye already having the time of their lives playing inside.
The floor was completely littered with Disneyland plushies and all sorts of toys.
Both kids were sweating profusely, their damp hair sticking to their foreheads.
These words completely trapped Helena, leaving her without a proper response.
This was the sheer weight of her guilt toward Skye.
Because of her, and because of everything that had happened years ago, Skye was stuck in her current situation.
Forget the Disneyland in Riverton—Skye hadn't even been to the one back in Coralia, which was right on their doorstep.
And going to Disneyland was the little girl's absolute biggest wish.
Every single year, it was the only thing she wished for on her birthday.
But every year, an unexpected complication always kept them stuck inside.
So, this was why Helena felt so incredibly guilty when it came to Skye.
"Lena, please say yes, okay?" Skye was genuinely on the verge of tears.
Kyle was also watching Helena cautiously from the sidelines.
"Helena, we just want to play at Disneyland. Daddy said we'll go straight back after we're done," Kyle added quietly.
