Both of them stared at Helena with pitiful, puppy-dog eyes.
Ultimately, Helena was the one who caved.
"Once we're done at Disneyland, you're coming straight back to Coralia with me," she stated firmly.
"Okay!" Skye instantly brightened up.
Kyle clapped his hands in sheer excitement.
Helena didn't say anything else; she knew she really didn't have the heart to say no.
"How did you two get so sweaty? Go take a shower. If you catch a cold, there will be no Disneyland," Sebastian finally spoke up, his tone mild.
"Yes, sir!" the two kids chimed in unison.
Sebastian led the two little ones into separate bathrooms.
He then turned around to get their fresh clothes ready.
But out of the corner of his eye, he kept a steady watch on Helena.
Helena was looking down at her phone.
Sebastian knew she was texting Julian.
She stared at the screen, seemingly agonizing over her words for a long time.
She typed, deleted, and re-typed the message over and over again.
Finally, she hit send.
Helena: [Skye is insisting on going to Disneyland. I'll take her there, and then we'll head back to Coralia.]
All of her chaotic thoughts had ultimately boiled down to this one simple sentence.
By using Skye as an excuse, she knew Julian wouldn't be able to refuse.
But Julian didn't reply at all.
Helena knew he was furious.
It was exactly like years ago; when she had stubbornly insisted on marrying Sebastian, Julian had responded with this exact same suffocating silence.
She sighed quietly and started typing out another message.
But in the end, she didn't send a single one of her drafts.
