He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 690

"If you feel unwell tomorrow, I'm definitely bringing you straight back," she added slowly.

At that, Hope squeezed her eyes shut in fright.

A child simply didn't have the complex thoughts of an adult.

Before long, she fell into a deep sleep.

Helena, however, couldn't sleep at all.

Between Hope's condition and Sebastian's words, her mind was racing.

Tossing and turning, she felt as if she had backed herself into a corner.

She was becoming more awake by the minute.

Finally, she let out a silent sigh.

Suddenly, her phone vibrated.

Her heart skipped a beat. For some reason, she feared it was a message from Sebastian.

But she picked it up anyway.

A WhatsApp notification popped up. It wasn't from him; it was from Rory.

Rory had sent her a Twitter link.

Rory: [My intuition tells me this is about you and Sebastian.]

Helena didn't reply immediately. Instead, she clicked the link and opened the app.

She recognized the account.

It was a highly famous gossip account based in Riverton.

It wasn't just famous locally; it was one of the top accounts in the entire country.

Its notoriety stemmed from the fact that whatever it exposed always turned out to be true.

"On this specific matter, I support Julian. I don't approve of you being with Sebastian," Rory said, getting straight to the point.

Helena was quiet for a moment. "Rory, if it were you, who would you choose between Harrison Cole and Beau Sterling?"

She threw the question back at her friend.

"Neither," Rory answered without hesitation. "My situation is different from yours. There's no hatred between you and Sebastian, nor is there any mutual exploitation between you and Julian. Julian's devotion is entirely voluntary and one-sided. As for you and Sebastian... at worst, he just doesn't love you. He sees you as a convenient choice to fulfill his grandfather's dying wish. But Julian and I are different. He resents me, and our history is way too tangled. As for Harrison... given his status, it's even more impossible for us."

Rory was completely transparent.

She didn't hide her own messy reality, explaining every detail crystal clear.

Helena fell silent, listening intently.

Rory didn't rush her.

After a long pause, Helena spoke softly. "Rory, I guess I'm just not willing to let it go. And the things that happened back then... if I don't handle them myself, I might never forgive myself for the rest of my life. I know Julian can take care of it, but these things have been suffocating me. I'll die if I just leave them buried."

"As long as you've thought it through, then I have no objections. Don't live a life of regrets," Rory said, not pushing her any further.
