Julian realized he couldn't just walk away.
If he really left, Helena Wallace would be the one dragged down with him.
Taking a deep breath, Julian forced himself to calm down.
"Give me a minute," Julian instructed.
Jensen Shaw let out a sigh of relief and quickly stepped out of the room.
Julian didn't hesitate; he picked up his phone and dialed Lance James.
"What's going on?" Lance asked, answering on the first ring. "Aren't you on a business trip? Why the sudden call?"
"Get to Coralia immediately. Helena is in trouble," Julian said, his voice tight. "I can't make it back right now. I'll be stuck here for another five to seven days."
"What happened?" Lance's tone instantly shifted to strictly business.
Julian quickly ran through the situation, not wasting a single word.
Lance's expression hardened on the other end of the line. "I'm on my way to Coralia."
"Bring people from The Everett Family if you have to," Julian instructed coldly. "I'll be back as soon as humanly possible."
"Got it," Lance replied.
Without a second thought, Lance booked the next flight to Coralia.
Meanwhile, inside the master bedroom of the estate.
Helena lowered her phone and slowly stood up.
She was completely bare, standing frozen in front of the full-length mirror.
Her skin was painted with a mosaic of bruises and marks—a brutal reminder of Sebastian Hayes's relentless possession.
The suffocating memories of the previous night flooded her mind, drowning her in a wave of dark, inescapable panic.
The anxiety was a crushing, physical weight, tearing away her sanity piece by piece.
Her arms wrapped tightly around her own body before her legs gave out, sending her collapsing onto the cold floor.
She felt like she was sinking into an endless abyss, thrashing against an invisible current that wouldn't let her breathe.
Her chest heaved, air trapped in her throat.
It was pure suffocation.
The pressure bearing down on her was agonizing.
She didn't know how much more of this she could take.
But the thought of Skye Campbell waiting just outside the door forced a sliver of clarity back into her mind.
Instead of agreeing, she just looked down at Skye with a soft, strained expression.
"Lena?" Skye asked, tilting her head.
Helena asked gently, "Don't you want to just eat with me?"
Skye blinked, then nodded enthusiastically. "Of course I do!"
"Then let's go home. I'll cook for you, okay?" Helena said, drawing a clear line in the sand.
She had made her boundaries crystal clear.
Yet, she hadn't mentioned Sebastian's name once.
Sebastian remained silent, his expression unreadable.
Skye pouted, her little shoulders dropping. "But I really wanted Mango Sticky Rice."
Sticky rice was hard to digest, so Helena never kept it at the house.
Eating out was the only time Skye got to have it.
Naturally, the little girl always looked forward to these rare treats.
Usually, Helena gave in to her every whim, compromising without a second thought.
