He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 830

The silence in the room only thickened.

Around 3 AM, Kyle suddenly padded into the living room.

"Dad, are you still not sleeping?" Kyle asked through a sleepy yawn.

Sebastian turned to look at the boy. "Kyle? What are you doing up?"

"Had to pee," Kyle mumbled.

Sebastian hummed in acknowledgment and walked over to him.

He smoothly scooped Kyle into his arms and carried him back to the bedroom, pouring him a glass of water along the way.

Kyle took small, quiet sips.

But the whole time, the boy was watching Sebastian with sensitive, observant eyes.

Sebastian noticed. "Something on your mind?"

"Dad..." Kyle set the glass down after a long while, calling out softly.

Sebastian responded with a patient hum.

"If you and Mom really don't want to be together anymore, you don't have to worry about me," Kyle offered with mature solemnity. "I might be a little sad at first, but honestly, I think I'd be okay with it now."

Kyle threw his small hands up, earnestly expressing his feelings.

"I want a mom, but I don't want a mom who's always just blowing me off," Kyle murmured, his tone laced with grievance.

He was so envious of the kids who had their moms by their side every day.

But he knew those moms genuinely loved their children.

He was different. His mother was completely indifferent to him.

At first, Kyle thought it was his own fault—that he was misbehaving, and that was why she acted that way.

But over time, Kyle started to realize he was merely a tool used to bridge the gap between Sebastian and Janetta.

That was why Janetta was only ever gentle with him when Sebastian was watching.
