It was phrased as a question, but it sounded like a statement.
Helena lowered her gaze, remaining silent.
But her silence was an admission to his theory.
"When did your vision come back? Why didn't you tell me?" he asked calmly, showing no signs of anger.
"Tonight. It just suddenly came back," she replied, keeping her eyes down.
Sebastian hummed in response. "That's good. We'll head back to Riverton in a couple of days, and I'll have a doctor give you a proper checkup."
It was unclear whether she had absorbed his words or not; she just stared at him quietly.
Their eyes met in the tense silence.
"Is there something else?" he pressed.
His hand brushed against her skin.
Helena instantly flinched, pulling away from his touch.
It was different this time.
Before, when she couldn't remember anything, she only felt a suffocating sense of discomfort.
Now that she remembered everything, it wasn't just vague panic anymore.
It was pure, unadulterated repulsion.
So, when faced with his question, she refused to answer.
She just looked at him, seemingly lost in thought.
"Helena." He suddenly called her by her full name.
The shift in address carried an unsettling undertone.
But she remained silent, handing the control of the conversation entirely over to him.
Sebastian waited a moment before speaking. "You remember everything, don't you?"
It was a test.
Unlike her vision, he wasn't entirely certain about her memories.
She simply stared at him without opening her mouth.
