He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 872

Perhaps it was the lingering shadow of Sebastian, but an unspoken wedge had driven itself between them.

It wasn't exactly awkward, but the warmth was gone, replaced by a polite distance.

She lowered her eyes, pushing the thought away.

She quickly got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash her face.

He waited patiently in the bedroom.

When she finally emerged.

He led her out to the dining room.

The housekeeper had prepared all her favorites.

She sat down and began to eat quietly.

He sat beside her, keeping her company.

He wasn't a fan of heavy breakfasts, opting for a simple black coffee and a sandwich instead.

So he finished his meal quickly.

But his gaze never left her face.

It was heavy and silent.

"Why do you keep staring at me?" she finally looked up and asked.

"You love Naples, right?" he suddenly asked, his tone casual.

"Yes, I love the entire region. Southern Italy is beautiful," she answered honestly.

He nodded. "I know the area really well. I spent three or four years there during my mercenary days. If you'd like, we could hold our wedding there."

He was bringing up the wedding again.

Her fork paused mid-air.

"After we're married, if you don't want to stay in Coralia, we could relocate to Naples permanently. Grandfather won't try to force your hand."

"The Campbell Corporation has been incredibly stable these past few years; I don't need to be physically present every day."

"As for Skye, bringing her to Italy wouldn't be an issue at all."

He laid it all out calmly, placing the final decision entirely in her hands.

She looked down, saying nothing.

It was undeniably the most logical escape route.
