Summer Rhodes had always been recognized as an architectural prodigy. When she chose to give up her career for Lucca Sterling, many of her peers had pitied the loss of her talent.

Over the years, her mentors and senior colleagues had repeatedly invited her back to the field, but Summer had always politely declined. Recently, a senior colleague of hers had taken on a massive overseas project and reached out several times, urging her to join the team. Summer had been tempted, but her reluctance to leave Lucca had previously held her back, making her decide to only help out remotely.

Now, Summer was completely exhausted. She no longer wanted to drown in her failing relationship; she wanted to reclaim her dreams.

Her colleague was thrilled upon hearing the news. "That's wonderful! I'll be waiting for you over here. We're going to do great things together!"

Hanging up the phone, Summer felt the heavy fog in her chest finally begin to clear.

...

Meanwhile, Stella Quinn learned of Summer's decision.

Though reluctant to see her best friend move abroad, she expressed nothing but full support.

After all, Summer had always had her dreams, and finding the courage to finally pursue them was something worth celebrating.

"Lucca doesn't know yet, does he?" Stella asked knowingly.

Over the years, Lucca had treated Summer like his personal property. Even when she visited her parents, he would relentlessly call and urge her to come back to his side, let alone tolerate her moving to another country.

Summer hummed in agreement. "There's no need to tell him yet."

A day passed.

The following day, Stella received a notice from Mr. Halloway.

The lawyer informed her that the divorce hearing was scheduled for Friday.

He added that the check and the property transfer documents would be handed over to her at that time.

Everyone had been working incredibly hard lately, so Stella nodded. "Sure."

After work, the lively group headed out for a bustling dinner together.

Throughout the meal, Joey and a few girls from the design department chattered endlessly, mostly swooning over how handsome the lead actor in the movie was. Stella listened with a bright smile, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere.

When they entered the movie theater, Joey purposely offered Sebastian the seat right next to Stella, while the rest of the girls took the row in front. It was no secret to the team how Sebastian felt about Stella.

Once seated, Sebastian handed Stella a box of popcorn and a drink, smiling warmly. "I had them make a custom butter-free batch of popcorn with very clean ingredients, so you can eat it without worrying. And the juice is your favorite fresh-pressed grape."

Stella felt that Sebastian was going out of his way to take care of her. Yet, he never explicitly brought up his feelings, and despite her telling him several times not to waste his efforts on her, he remained just as attentive.

Bringing it up again would only make things awkward, so Stella graciously accepted the snacks. Taking a sip of the juice, she smiled. "It tastes great, thank you."

Just as the words left her mouth, Stella's gaze caught two familiar figures walking through the entrance—Jarrod Fuller and Chloe Huxley.
