He Never Noticed Me Until I Loved Someone Else novel Chapter 375

Stella hadn't expected Yvette to reach out. After a moment of hesitation, she answered the call.

"Stella, are you in the inpatient building? I'm downstairs right now. Is it a good time for me to come up and visit your father?" Yvette asked.

Why on earth would Yvette want to visit George out of the blue?

Stella had zero personal relationship with her, and now that the divorce with Jarrod was finalized, they had absolutely no reason to interact.

As for Yvette's supposed life-saving act during the crash, Stella had initially felt grateful. But then Yvette conveniently discovered she was pregnant, and Jarrod divorced Stella as "repayment"—the chain of events felt far too calculated.

Stella even suspected Yvette might have orchestrated the crash herself; otherwise, why hadn't the police found the runaway driver yet?

"Stella?" Yvette prompted after the prolonged silence.

"That won't be necessary. My dad is already asleep," Stella replied.

"Since I'm already here, I could just visit with you instead," Yvette pressed.

Refusing to let Yvette anywhere near her father's room, Stella said, "I'll come down."

Yvette agreed and promised to wait in the lobby.

Stella informed the nurse and took the elevator down to the ground floor.

Yvette was indeed waiting in the main lounge, with two imposing men who looked like bodyguards hovering nearby. Jarrod was clearly taking her safety very seriously.

Jarrod had previously assigned a driver-bodyguard to Stella, but the man had sustained arm and back injuries during the incident and was currently recovering. Since the divorce, Stella had told the driver to report back to Jarrod once healed, as she no longer needed his services.

She had hired a new driver on her own, and Sebastian made sure to personally drive her whenever he was available. She hadn't encountered any trouble since.

"Stella." Yvette smiled warmly as she approached.
