Read Chapter 4 of He Never Noticed Me Until I Loved Someone Else novel online to discover whether Jarrod can win Stella’s heart back, or whether he has realized her true worth when it is already too late.

She heard it was because he was worried Chloe wouldn't adapt well as a newcomer, so he took her out to build a rapport with the team.

They hadn't returned to the office since.-

So Stella highly doubted Jarrod would have time to come home for dinner.

But driven by Mrs. Higgins's nagging, she politely sent him a text.

[Mr. Fuller, will you be coming back to The Sterling Residences for dinner?]

Surprisingly, Jarrod replied, [Busy. No time.]

The exact answer she had expected.

Stella forwarded the screenshot to Mrs. Higgins, who immediately started lecturing her, "If the master has no time to come home, why don't you bring it to him? What kind of wife are you!"

The housekeeper had been sitting on a pile of grievances since morning, and arguing with her now would only escalate the tension.

Exhausted from dealing with her, Stella sent Jarrod another message.

[Would you like me to drop it off?]

She fully expected him to decline, but instead, he sent her the location of The Fuller Group.

[I have an important meeting at seven. Have it here before then.]

Stella stared at the screen. "..."

At half-past six in the evening, Stella arrived at the imposing Fuller Group headquarters, carrying a thermos container.

Led by the receptionist, she made her way into Jarrod's office.

The sky had already grown dark outside. Neon lights flashed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, while the office itself was brightly lit.

Jarrod sat at his desk, signing documents. He was still wearing the same dark sweater from that morning, the sleeves rolled up to his forearms, the light catching the expensive gleam of his watch.

Even a simple gesture like signing his name exuded the composed, aristocratic aura of a man in power.

In their nearly three years of marriage, this was the first time Stella had visited his office, and the first time she had seen him working.

She felt slightly out of place.

The harsh fluorescent light highlighted her delicate wrists and flawlessly soft skin.

As Jarrod took the bowl, his fingertips casually brushed against the back of her hand, causing Stella to instinctively pull away.

She immediately recovered, adding gently, "I'll serve your food."

Jarrod stirred the soup with his spoon and asked casually, "Are you upset that Chloe was named Deputy Director of the project department?"

Stella froze.

She hadn't expected him to drop a question like that out of nowhere.

As a mere project team leader, what right did she have to be upset about the company's decisions?

Perhaps he was just trying to gauge her and the rest of the department's attitude toward his favorite person.

With a polite smile, Stella replied, "You're overthinking it, Mr. Fuller. No one is upset. Chloe is incredibly capable, and her appointment is well-deserved. My colleagues and I are all very happy to have her."

Jarrod lifted his dark eyes. "Then who were you putting on a show for this morning, sitting at your desk with red eyes?"
