Her Revenge Was His Regret (Shirley and Gilbert) novel Chapter 164

Chapter 164 A Showdown

Chapter 164 A Showdown

Must’ve just been some guy with a similar build, that’s all.

Weird though-she used to see Tyrone all the time, but she hadn’t heard hide nor hair from him in forever.

“I got two cruise tickets. You can bring your friend along. Didn’t you wanna try investing on your own? This will let you check it out and see how it works.”

This was nothing like the last one.

That other cruise was nine stories, and you had to prove you had 10 million just to get in-and that was only the entry level. But these two tickets? They looked like VVIP tickets.

Who even knew how much more money you needed to get those?

“How’d you know I wanna invest?” Did I mumble it in my sleep or something?

“When you tidy up your stuff, you mark things and focus all on investment stuff. I figured you’d be into it.”

She couldn’t lie-she was touched. No one had been this nice to her in so long.

Even Lucas, someone she hadn’t known for that long, got what she really wanted.

Did Gilbert really have no clue what she wanted?

Forget money and stuff-he couldn’t even give her time. Was he really that oblivious, or was he faking it?

Or did he know everything, watch her wish for those things, and just refuse to give them to her on purpose?

Another thought-maybe he truly didn’t know, because he never paid attention to what she actually

needed.

All his attention was on someone else.

“Aren’t you coming with me?”

“You want me to come?”

Lucas leaned in, his insanely handsome face-like a perfect model’s, no flaws at all-right up in front of

hers.

Sherry’s heart skipped a beat. That damn pretty face-how many girls have fallen for it?

Gilbert had always been the hottest guy in her eyes… but he had definitely beaten him out.

“I guess so.” The last time she’d been on a fancy cruise, it had gone horribly wrong-she’d lost her cool and blew up.

“Then I’ll come once I finish work.”

As soon as he said that, Sherry felt like something was off-like she was missing something.

She suddenly remembered that this fancy cruise sailed on the ocean for days and even went through other countries.

Once he finished work, how the hell was he gonna find her?!

But Lucas had just agreed like it was no big deal!

Sherry gave one of the tickets to Yelena.

When Yelena saw the ticket, she jumped up and down like a kid on sugar. “Oh my god, baby, you’re the best! There are so many cross-border deals here-I’m really good with foreign business!

“And this ticket you got? It’s the top-tier VVIP card! Only the biggest, baddest bosses can get these, y’know.

“You won’t believe it-Wendy posted this same pic too. She said she got a VVIP card and sent it to our group just to show off to me. Everyone in the group was dogging you, saying you were totally done-no more Bode family support, no status at all.

“I fought all of ’em by myself. Now I finally get to hit back!”

She hung up right after, grabbed the ticket, snapped a cute pic, and posted it immediately.

Sherry wanted to say she didn’t care anymore, but Yelena had been so ticked off these days-so she just let her have her moment.

Meanwhile, Wendy was still throwing a hissy fit in their group.

“The VVIP cruise ticket is so pretty! I heard the gold on the card is real! Oh my god, I’m obsessed!”

“Looks like Wendy’s ready to move up. Anyone who gets this ticket usually goes with their wife.”

Yeah, unlike those other parties where you could bring a date or a side chick.

This one needed a real, certified spouse-it was all about the Bode family’s name. So Wendy was totally showing off here.

Gilbert obviously let her do it. He didn’t think Sherry could see it and not get jealous, not regret leaving.

“Unlike someone who’s always running her mouth in the group. Why’s she quiet today? Never seen one before? Probably never even touched one-pathetic!”

“Wendy, take a video so she can see it well. Otherwise, once she’s kicked out of the Bode family, she’ll never even lay eyes on one again.”
