Her Revenge Was His Regret (Shirley and Gilbert) novel Chapter 186

Chapter 186 Out of the Picture

“Oh my God! I never thought I’d see this dress in person in my lifetime!”

Julia’s identity was exposed.

People didn’t just talk; they swarmed right over to Julia.

They pushed Teresa and Sherry right out of the crowd. In a second, no one paid them any attention at all.

Teresa felt better instantly, a smug smile spreading across her face. “Hmph, still wearing Angel’s so-called treasure? Turns out she’s got the first dress-way better than yours. You were trying to act fancy, and now you got totally owned. Freaking hilarious!”

She never thought Julia, stuck in the middle of the crowd, could hear them talking.

“Come on, don’t say that,” Julia said. “That dress is definitely Angel’s treasure here in the country.”

It was supposed to be a comfort, but it might as well not have been. In the end, it still couldn’t hold a candle to the one she was wearing.

Just standing there in that dress, she was worth way more than twice what Sherry was worth.

Julia walked over, but her eyes were on Lucas. “Mr. Harrison, so you gave that dress to her? It suits her perfectly. Guess it was worth it, agreeing to let Ms. Campbell wear it like you asked.”

Right-that treasure dress.

It was from Angel Shop. Tons of people wanted to buy it, but word was you needed permission from the founder to get it.

Others said it was so special, it only went to the right person. Either way, no one really knew for sure.

It was something a lot of people had been wanting for ages.

That’s why everyone was shocked when Sherry wore it.

But no one had said Julia was the one who gave Lucas permission to get that dress!

So that’s why they couldn’t get permission themselves…

People looked back and forth between Julia and Lucas.

“They look so good together.”

No wonder they felt that tense vibe between them-like two strong people clashing. But that just made them look even better. Their status and looks were totally matched.

If they were too perfect together, it would feel cheesy.

This kind of equal, push-and-pull thing? That’s the kind of relationship they loved.

Two people bickering nonstop, then ending up together for the perfect happy ending.

Teresa, being her usual rude self, spoke up again. “There you go. Your only backup just got taken away. When Dale told you to leave, you should have just scrammed.

“In a minute, they will be all lovey-dovey. If you get kicked out then, it won’t just be embarrassing-it will ruin

you. You will never get into any fancy events ever again.

“You will end up waiting tables at some dumpy little restaurant!”

Teresa’s words were brutal.

And honestly, most people thought she was right. That’s just how it was.

Clearly, in everyone’s eyes, this random girl no one knew was already out of the picture.

She hadn’t dropped any names or titles-so that meant she had no one backing her up.

Sherry frowned. She had known Julia would target her, but she never thought it would be over this dress.

But she didn’t blame Lucas. No one could have guessed the dress was connected to Julia.

Then suddenly, someone grabbed her hand and dragged her away. They stopped after about three yards.

But no one paid them any attention-everyone was still focused on Julia and Lucas.

Lucas was really young.

For someone his age, not being engaged yet was kind of late. With the vibe between him and Julia, most people figured there must be some love-hate drama going on.

Sherry was just the middleman, filling time.
