Chapter 188 A Taste of Her Own Medicine
Teresa was totally relaxed. She went right up to Sherry to start trouble.
“You got a problem with me? Then hit me. C’mon, do it! You won’t, huh? Your main guy bailed on you!”
Slap!
A sharp, clear slap cut through the whole party.
“You hit me? You actually hit me! Are you out of your mind?” Teresa clamped a hand over her cheek, totally stunned.
“You practically shoved your face right into my hand. How was I supposed to say no? I’ve never heard a dumber request in my life.” Sherry gave Teresa a half-smirk.
“You! You’re asking for a beatdown!”
Teresa was fuming. She charged at Sherry, ready to hit her back.
She’d been holding a grudge from last time, but she hadn’t been able to find Sherry lately. On top of that, she’d had a ton going on.
She hadn’t even gotten the chance to get back at Sherry yet-and now Sherry had the guts to fight her?
Now that Lucas didn’t give a crap about Sherry anymore, Teresa was ready to settle all their issues-old and new. She was gonna make sure Sherry never held her head up in this circle again.
She was even worried she couldn’t take Sherry alone, so she told Dale to hold Sherry’s hands first. Sherry loved slapping people? This time, Teresa was gonna slap her face until it was unrecognizable.
Teresa leaned in, her face twisted with rage.
Slap! Slap! Two more slaps.
These were hard-so loud that everyone on the other side turned to see what was going on.
“Whoa, is Sherry getting beat up over there?”
“Girls who mooch off guys always end up worse when they lose their ride. Serves her right!

She was acting all tough earlier.”
”
Teresa was clearly in the wrong, but in this circle, the worst mistake you could make was overestimating yourself. If you did, you might end up dead without even knowing why.
No one expected Julia to peek over and jump in. “This is all my fault. Ms. Campbell’s going through this because of me. Let me make it up to you-I’ll cover that dress you’re wearing.”
Sherry had taken two slaps, and Julia thought that was more than enough to make up for it.
In Julia’s mind, Sherry had lost Lucas as her backup, so she’d definitely have to pay for that dress herself.
Looking at Sherry, Julia remembered the books from Gilbert’s company-there was no money set aside for Sherry at all.
So Sherry had no money to pay for it.
This was Julia’s little way of bribing Sherry to leave quietly.
Everyone thought Sherry had been bullied. But then something weird happened.
Teresa, who was standing with her back to everyone and was a little stocky, had completely blocked Sherry from view. She hunched her shoulders and started sobbing her eyes out.
When she opened her mouth, two teeth fell out and hit the floor with a clink.
Everyone leaned in to get a better look.
Sherry wasn’t the one getting beaten up at all.
Dale finally noticed-Sherry had pulled her hands out of his grip at some point.
So Teresa’s clumsy swing missed-and she ended up getting slapped two more times. Those slaps were no joke.
Teresa’s face swelled up.
Her two front teeth were gone.
Lucky for her, she was facing away from everyone. Otherwise, they would’ve seen her looking funny.
“Teresa, you okay?” Dale rushed over and pulled her into a hug.

He took off his suit jacket to wrap around her, but Teresa screamed in pain-her face was so swollen.
Her head was buzzing, but she finally snapped out of it. She could feel everyone staring at her, and her already swollen face turned bright red.
She was so embarrassed she wanted to kill Sherry.
But she couldn’t beat her.
Teresa turned her eyes to Gilbert. “Mr. Bode, look what your crazy wife did! Do you know where we are? She’s hitting people here. Aren’t you afraid she’d shame the Bode family?
