He poured his heart out in a long, heartfelt text. Every word felt sincere.

After hesitating for what seemed like forever, he finally pressed send. His heart raced. He felt both excited and nervous, wondering what expression Sherry would have when she read it.
Would she forgive him?
She should be happy, right? He never did things like this.
He never expected to be greeted by a bright red exclamation\mark.

Bang!
Sherry smashed up half of the Bode Villa.
This time, she wasn’t just cursing at Jean—she let loose on the entire Bode family.
Her words were raw and filthy.
It turned out that letting everything out in the crudest way felt incredibly satisfying.
Mary’s hand froze mid-video call, the phone still raised.
Gilbert had said he wanted to check on Sherry.
Well, he saw it all-she yelled and smashed things, insulted every Bode, and even took scissors to the crotch of Gilbert’s favorite suit pants.
At first, Gilbert felt a strong urge to control the situation, to keep Sherry firmly under his thumb. But that feeling began to change.
This was his fault.
He’d always thought of Sherry as the nice, gentle one-easy to talk to, never losing her temper. He believed setting strict rules was the simplest way to fix their relationship.
It turned out Sherry wasn’t the person he thought she was.
And strangely, watching her explode like this felt… satisfying.
He kind of loved seeing her like this.
“The imported seafood, and those sweet drinks she likes… She’s been yelling for so long. Her throat must be dry.”
Mary finally relaxed a little.

She didn’t argue; she just got to work. In her mind, Sherry was always a well-behaved person.
If she’d exploded like this, someone must have pushed her too far.
Otherwise, she would never act this way.
So even though Gilbert paid her salary, she wouldn’t defend him.

Wendy was furious.
They were in the same hospital, but Gilbert wouldn’t let her take care of him!
Every single time, he used her head injury as an excuse to send her away, telling her to rest.
She’d risked her health, hoping to win Gilbert’s affection-not expecting him to divorce Sherry immediately, but at least to treat her like she mattered, to make Sherry jealous first before ending the marriage.
Instead, she’d suffered a major loss without getting anything in return. Wendy was so angry.
Tap! Tap! Tap!
Early in the morning, the living room echoed with the sharp sound of high heels pacing back and forth. The noise was incredibly irritating.
“Sherry! Sherry, you useless woman, I’m back. Get out here and serve me! Help me change and cook for me!”
She pounded on Sherry’s door.
Cathy had just returned from a trip, tired and hungry. Normally, the moment she spoke, Sherry would come out immediately to cook for her. This time, the combination of exhaustion and hunger made her lose her temper.
She shoved the door open.
Sherry had a pillow pressed tightly over her ears.
Cathy’s face turned pale with rage. “You heard me and you’re still not jumping up to serve me? Aren’t you afraid I’ll call Gilbert and make him hate you even more?”
Sherry grabbed another pillow and threw it straight at her. “Get out!”
Cathy was stunned.
Other than that one time recently, Sherry had always been obedient around her-doing whatever she asked. If she ever refused, Cathy would just say, “I’ll tell Gilbert about this.”
She had Sherry completely under her control.

They all agreed-someone who loved Gilbert that much would never really leave. She was just using a new tactic to get his attention.
